Meet Cerbergoose! Goslings are way nicer than I expected. Like friendly, nibbly, slightly damp stuffed animals. So squishy!

These will be a triad of Sebastopol geese. Can't wait to see their ridiculous fluffy feathers!

Thanks to everyone who picked up their spring chickens! We are down to the last 2 Americanas for sale. Plus our 12 house chickens. Not sure who laid this doozy, but wow!

Now we are raising ISA Brown pullets. Most are pre-ordered. We do have 14 of the chicks available. You can reserve them now and then pick up any time before June 25th. They will start laying in late June, most likely. And then they will lay, and lay, and lay brown eggs for you. ISA Browns are the all-time champion egg layers at 300-350 eggs per year!

Pullets are $30 each, pay when you pick up at our farm outside Yellow Springs, Ohio. Text Laura at 937-671-9317 or send a PM if you're interested!

P. S. Next will be guinea fowl keets, straight run (mixed male and female). We have 15 pre-sold and we can still add more if there is interest. $25 for 8-10 week old keets. It's easier to keep them from flying away if you get guineas to their new homes at a younger age. We keep guineas for tick control. The rooster also protects our chicken pullets and calls them into the hoop coop at night. 😊

One of our house chickens, a blue laced gold Wyandotte, abandoned her flock yesterday and moved into the hoop coop with the last couple of unsold pullets and the guineas. This is the egg she laid today. I guess she likes her new digs! The hoop coop has an endless feed supply.

Here's a little video of the birds we have available right now. A customer requested photos, but the birds were zooming around too much to get good still shots. 😄

Call or text Laura at 937-671-9317 to reserve your birds. These girls are laying pretty well already - we are getting about 10 eggs from 16 layers hatched out in September of 2025.

$30 per bird, pick up at our farm outside Yellow Springs, Ohio.

Moving up in the world! I replaced the pan-style feeder for the 6-day old ISA Brown chicks with chick-style feeders. It's best to move slowly with chicks, so they had both feeder options for a couple of days.

Everyone looks nice and healthy! They are learning to scratch for food - I gave them a handful of dried mealworms for incentive. :) John also raised the lamps an inch or two yesterday.

Just what you want to see with new chicks: arranged in a donut shape. They are warm enough to avoid the hottest part of the brooder but not hiding in the corners to get away from the heat. They are in an unheated garage that was below freezing when they arrived.

Squee! Our first load of chicks for this year is on its way from McMurray Hatchery! This batch is 51 ISA Brown pullets ordered by a customer last fall. We'll raise them 16-18 weeks until they're close to laying age. ISA Browns lay more eggs their first year than any other hybrid!

Ready to start or add to your flock now? We have Production Blues, Wyandottes, and Americanas that we started back in September. Many are laying already! $30 per hen, pickup at our farm outside Yellow Springs, Ohio. Message our page or text Laura at 937-671-9317 to make arrangements.

Happy New Year! Our winter batch of started pullets are ready to move into their new flocks. They are 19 weeks old, $30 per bird. You will get lots of lovely eggs first thing in the spring! This time we have:

Cream Legbar: Blue egg layers with a silly little p**f of feathers on top of their heads. Curious, friendly birds that like to explore and then come back to the safety of the group. Great foragers.

Americana: Easter Eggers in a variety of fun patterns and colors. They are good fliers, a little shy, hanging out in a group together. We have 3 in our house flock and they are laying olive green eggs with dark freckles, blue eggs with white flecks, and pale cream eggs. Ameraucana x Araucana

Black-Laced Gold Wyandotte: Calm, friendly, sturdy, larger bird, not bothered by cold or anything else. They can be stunning adult hens! They lay lots of large brown eggs.

Production Blue: Good-sized hen optimized for laying a lot of large brown eggs. The blue refers to their color (gray chickens are called Blues). Calm, friendly, unruffled, living their best life regardless of the weather or drama surrounding them. Rhode Island Red x Blue Astralorp

Send us a message to order your birds! Cash/VenMo/PayPal when you pick up your birds. We will never ask for your account information or a deposit. Pickup is at our farm:

We put the guinea fowl youngsters back in with their parents out in the hoop coop. After a week or two, everyone is getting along great and hanging out together. The little ones are even making alarm calls at us when we go out to check on them. 🔊🎺📯📢

If you want your own chicken-guarding, tick-eating squad, the 3 young guineas are available at $20 per bird. I couldn't tell you what s*x they are, but guineas of any s*x combination flock well together.

Dinner time! No matter how far the house chickens have ranged during the day, everyone makes it back in time for for a pre-roosting fill-up. The poor Cinnamon Queens are doing a hard, late molt and they look especially snakey this week. Doesn't seem to bother them in the cold, though!
