An Update from Rockin’ H Farms
First, we want to sincerely thank each of you for your patience and continued support of our farm. We know many of you are eagerly waiting on your beef, and we truly appreciate your understanding.
This past year has brought several weather challenges that have affected our cattle’s growth. The hard winter freeze, followed by drought conditions and prolonged extreme heat, reduced forage quality and slowed weight gain. Although our cattle remain healthy and continue to grow on pasture, these conditions have caused them to gain weight more slowly than normal, resulting in delays in processing.
At Rockin’ H Farms, we are committed to producing the highest-quality 100% grass-fed beef possible. We also have a firm policy that we will not process or sell beef from cattle over 22 months of age—regardless of size or weight. This is a standard we’ve established because we believe harvesting within this timeframe provides the best tenderness, flavor, and overall eating experience for our customers.
Rather than compromising our quality standards or changing the way we raise our cattle, we choose to stay true to the practices that define our farm.
We understand that delays can be frustrating, and we appreciate your grace as we work through the effects of these unusual weather conditions. Our goal has always been—and will always be—to provide beef we’re proud to serve our own family and yours.
Thank you for supporting local agriculture and trusting Rockin’ H Farms.
