Today and tomorrow I (will) cut my last order of the season. It is sad - the end- but necessary. Now, we will give the earth time to rest and heal. I’ll test the soil and plan for the next season.

Don’t worry, , you will be back next year!

Yesterday, before the rain, we completed our final inventory checks and will be cutting down the dahlias to season in the field before the big dig. It is best to let them season- unless it is calling for a ton of rain.

We decided this year to dig before since it has been such a tough year for farmers.

Between the odd weather and other health-related issues, it has been a challenging year. But because of wonderful clients, a great community and dear friends, we were able to accomplish amazing things.

Now, it is time to put the to bed and store up seeds and tubers for next year.

Watch for local pre-order sales coming in January.

Again, I cannot thank you enough for all your love and support throughout the years.

Stay tuned as is completed and will bring so many new possibilities in #2027 !

is one step closer to completion. Isn’t she beautiful! Imagine her in holiday greenery and lights….

Next steps: Roof, Windows, Door, and Flower boxes.

A special thanks to my Steve and our great friend Marc. Those two are making my dream a reality.

A handmade broom was never meant to be disposable. Today's mountain broommakers still cut handles from tree branches in winter and let them cure for up to a year before shaping them. Some makers will even re-broom a piece that has already seen up to 30 years of use.

Make something with that same handmade spirit this Thursday, Oct 15, 6:00 to 7:30 PM. A few spots may still be open: https://www.historicsmithfield.org/classes/p/broom-workshop-with-gabriella-the-garden-sage
