Something made me giggle today at the circus. 🎪😂

I paid $16 for a bag of cotton candy… $16 for spun sugar! And you know what? I didn’t complain. I got in the long line, handed over my money, and enjoyed it.

It got me thinking…

People will gladly pay big business prices at concerts, stadiums, amusement parks, fairs, and events without a second thought. But sometimes those same people will question, criticize, or try to negotiate with small businesses that are selling fresh-made food, handmade products, or custom items.

Why?

Small businesses aren’t just selling a product. They’re paying for ingredients, supplies, equipment, permits, insurance, packaging, vendor fees, taxes, and countless hours of work behind the scenes.

This isn’t about my business specifically. It’s something I’ve noticed happen to so many small business owners.

Support small businesses the same way you support the big ones. ❤️

And remember… if I can pay $16 for a bag of sugar at the circus, maybe that fresh-made item from a local business isn’t overpriced after all. 😉
