We are looking for donors for the Sanctuary to fulfill some needs on the wishlist .

Is the link to all our platforms . We have taken in over 80 animals this year alone . We can continue but with help . Our need is always food . We have been saving for fencing , pond liner so we can build new safe areas because we are in a high predator zone .

We are backup to a lot of rescues .
Because we are a sanctuary we don’t find homes for the animals . I try to avoid that stress and give them a forever home . Times we tried people didn’t work out . Or they don’t want a injured animal to care for .
So I do my small business and every other minute is these animals so they get a life they deserve .Gabe works two jobs just so we can keep this going .
We drive older cars our house we started building isn’t finished and we don’t spend money on ourselves . Our heart is helping so I will go without and eventually get our house done when we can .

I watch people buy ducks at TS then feed them bread and destroy there guts and legs . Or leave them outside alone and they get sick . We have saved and rehabbed so many . I don’t want to stop taking animals in and let them die . But it takes so much to care for this many . If everyone can give $5 a month all of there needs can be met and we can save to get the wood and larger items we need.
Example bird comes in with eye infection that’s $27 just for the bottle to treat it . Many ducks come to us with injured feet and have bumble foot $17 to treat . It adds us super fast . I spent $200 on new wall troughs last week to keep contianers off the ground because they will lay and play in them . And within minutes there covered in duck poo. So we learn as we grow and it’s been a honor to watch these guys go from being sick and weak to running the property and having a blast stealing greens from the garden . Or chasing the dogs while the dogs dig holes to go after gophers because they know dog digging equals wormies .
Our straw bill is $280 bi weekly and we have had a shortage here so we are buying bagged straw at $14.99.

Fencing we need to put around duck coop and chicken run . This is 8 feet tall and with our electrical fence we already have . Would allow the ducks to swim safely in there pond without worrying about coyote , bobcats and mountain lions attacks .

We grow food for all the ducks and chickens as well . And our water bill is around $450/500 to ensure the ducks have what they need. That’s why we need to build this pond and install few hundred feed of fencing . It will give the ducks a place to mimic nature . And keep them off there feet . Ducks are suppose to be in water not on hard ground .

I have already fulfilled our annual Christmas gift for kids and homeless . I started it early and we were able to fund 8 families for the holidays and give each child 1 wow gift and 3 great gifts plus clothes .
So we helped give away over 2,000 worth of clothes and gifts to make sure families had some thing this year .
We will also be delivering our food baskets for complete Christmas meals closer to Christmas .

As always Thanks for the love and support . Gabe and I fund our sanctuary working 14-18 hour days . We are asking for some help becaise the need for homes is rapidly increasing . We have help save over 500 animals . And given a home to over 1/2 of them .
Last week we took in 1 dog , 2 cats and 3 injured ducks .
Saving for the 8 foot tall fence is a must and long liner . To get this pond built for these ducks and get them off there feet .

Found jock today n the garage behind the work table with a huge stack of eggs . She found a perfect hiding spot . Went in today and heard something . So I climbed over and noticed her . She was n the zone laying so didn’t mind me at all . Chickens are Amazing and not given credit enough for how tough they r .

Cooking with Pippy . Pip is one of the babies who was hatched by a duck here at the rescue . She imprinted on me at Birth. And it was to dangerous for her to be left with the others . So pip is my girl now 🥰. She’s 6 months old and a whole lot of trouble and attitude 😂.

Pips morning routine , she used to follow me down the stairs until she realized the dirt and greenery has bugs in it . So she goes her own way . After months of this now she makes me follow her and makes it a race once she gets to the bottom Rock where the board we put down for her is .
Last week she ran passed me making sounds it’s pretty priceless the kind this creature has .

-My Name is Nicole Romano I’m the Owner of Owlivia Creations By Nicole . I started this company and named it in Honor of my daughter Olivia and her love for owls and animals . She passed away in Feb 2018 at 13 years old . This company saved my life and gave me something to strive for.
-I’ve put my all into this company and pushing to grow it has been hard work .
I felt I was still missing something and I’ve always been a animal lover and so was olivia
So I started a Animal Sanctuary in her Honor Feb 2020 and named it Owlivia Creations Farmlife and Rescue .
I kept the name because it’s for her and while we are saving these animals we are also being creative building them things , working on new ways to help them heal and grow . So I think it fit well .
Anyway we are solely reliant upon our company to feed these animals .
As we have grown it has gotten hard to do because we have a home and family to care for as well . And my husband is a diabetic who went partially blind in his left eye weeks ago and now has to start treatments and have surgery .
He is the sole person I rely on we work together all day everyday and haven’t stopped in 4 years .
We will continue to save animals and do the best we can .
We have a lot of cost with shelter , hay , animals feed and injured animals we save cost a lot to get them back to good health .
-While we have done well with our company Its not enough and We can’t do this alone . I have a list of animals that are needing a home . And I would love to take them in and give them a forever home with us . But I can’t knowing it could take away from ones we already have here and there needs
-We are saving the farm animals people buy at Easter and birthdays then decide they don’t want them . Or farm animals people try to release in the wild . Pig, dogs, cat, turkeys , guineas, many male chickens , ducks, silkie and bantams (25) we saved a lady hoarded . Many were starved and had no fat on there body.

Feeidng everyone and I noticed my Pippy wasn’t close by . Went over and checked her normal area and here she was . Pip on a bag floating .
She’s always robbing b my soil and compost for bugs . Clearly she claimed this bag to .

Treat day for all the rescues , they eat well but every sunday we give them extra goodies

Every Sunday we do and let the animals eat more and have some treats .
They love 5 grain scratch but we feed fermented food only . They are obsessed with it and wnat nothing else .
We buy a bag a week I do a trail 100+ feet long so there is no fighting and they all like up hogging it down .

I always post on tiktok about my these guys see water and soil it’s on . They will come back later covered we’re you can’t tell they were white Peking ducks .
They have a blast but you have to make sure they get cleaned up so they stay waterproof and healthy .

Anyway we got rain and hail yesterday and these guys had a blast . While all the other birds were in there main lounge area 😉 . The ducks were out in the mess having fun . They were lined up against the fence last night when the hail started just watching it like a movie .

Pippy thinkibg she was in charge this morning .

When your duck is with you 24/7 except when we goes in her cage at bedtime .
Every morning we get up and take her out to the cage and go outside to work for the day .
This morning at 6 am she demanded daddy get her out . So what does he do he puts her in our bed . We let her snuggle with us for about 30/1 hr at night we have since she was born .
This morning she lost it . He put her in bed and she started to go crazy . She didn’t want the dogs near us . And took over 😂.
Poor dogs normally sissy will stand up to her so Pippy gets put in check it’s a balance that’s has to take place and everyone learn boundaries . Pippy forgot those boundaries today and decided she was in charge . Daddy pushed her away from his face before I started recorded and she started hollering and went right back to attack him (playing ) he covered his face and she was mad .

Helping a Bird caught on mouse glue trap .

Be careful when placing pest traps out . This beautiful bird was caught and most likely would not of made it if my friend robin wouldn’t have seen it stuck and drove the bird over to me to help get her loose . We got her loose cleaned her up and she is on a safe area until she can fly again she’s almost there . A lot of her feathers were damaged when she was trying to break free.
