Whew, what a week it has been! We started the week off on Sunday September 27th with The Cumberland County Fair State of Maine Dairy Goat Show. We brought a couple of our Nigerian Dwarf milkers along with Nigerian Dwarf juniors, Oberhasli juniors and our junior recorded grade. Results were not always what we were hoping for but our girls did us proud still. Results listed below.
We followed up the show with a whole week at the fair enjoying some time away from work as well as working in the rabbit barn.

It has been a long week beginning and ending with a show each weekend along with our local fair in between. We are tired but super excited about how our girls did our last two shows of the season. More introductions and show updates to come after some much needed rest.

It was a good day for the goats at our local fair. More details to follow.

To start our show herd introductions we have to start with our first show goat! Introducing From Away Farm Blackberry. Blackberry is out of the amazing CH Goating Around Goji X Autumn-Acres TR Vermillion. She earned her dry leg as a 4 month old. Further wins have been eluding us with stiff competition but I have no doubt she will get her wins in time. Blackberry is a 3 year old second freshener who has given us a very promising daughter to be introduced later!

To start introductions we need to start with our very first goat. This is Scout. Scout was purchased with two does back in 2011. That's right this handsome devil is 15! While he is the only remaining goat from our original trio without him we would not have the herd we have now at all.

Before we do any herd introductions we should introduce ourselves first! We are Eric and Christie Jensen! We have owned goats for quite some time as pets but began our journey of breeding and showing goats about 3 years ago. We are blessed to be able to live on a homestead that has been in my family for over 75 years! We are happy we get to carry on the Parker name and history of farming that comes with it.

Welcome to our farm page! We will be doing introductions to our herd and updates on breeding coming up very soon!
