Farm Summer camp, Horseback riding lessons, field trips. We also host photographers, schools, groups & pods.

“4am thoughts…
Tonight I was exactly 37 seconds late. According to the horses, goats, rooster, chickens, and every other soul on this farm… civilization was collapsing. You’d think I abandoned them for a decade instead of finishing one last thing before night check.

It’s that season again… the season where one person somehow becomes the entire staff. Grounds crew. Feed manager. Night watch. Maintenance department. Medic. Teacher. Farmer. Rescue coordinator. Event planner. Soap maker. Fence repair crew. Bookkeeper. And somehow still expected to arrive with snacks exactly on time.

But truthfully… I wouldn’t trade it.

There’s something sacred about these late nights when the world is asleep and the farm is still breathing. The nickers in the dark. The sound of hooves shifting in straw. Goats yelling dramatic complaints because dinner was 37 seconds behind schedule. The rooster acting like he’s preparing an official statement to management.

It’s exhausting sometimes, sure. But it’s also beautiful. Because every single creature here depends on me showing up… and every single night, I do.”

4am thoughts…

I’ve been falling asleep at my computer. It’s been that kind of stretch.

For farmers, every season brings its own weight. Right now, it’s everything at once—planning crops, preparing for that small window of summer programming, rebuilding after being held back for over two years. This season matters.

And while all of that is happening, the calls for help come in faster.

The responsibility here is great. This isn’t something I take lightly. God has entrusted me with this work—He has made me the shepherdess of this land and these animals—and I carry that every single day.

This farm is full of lives that were once abandoned, dumped, starved, neglected, or deemed useless. I take them in, and I stand by them—no matter what it takes.

That’s what rescue is.

It isn’t convenience. It isn’t easy. It’s stepping in when others walk away.

As a 501(c)(3), we fundraise so we can continue that work—so we can say yes when another life needs a place to land. Because the truth is, it takes a village to care for what others have cast aside.

Today someone asked, “Why take in animals if you can’t afford to care for them to start with?”

That kind of thinking is exactly why rescues have to exist.

To those of you doing this work alongside me—I see you. The long days, the hard choices, the cost, the commitment. It matters.

And to those who have stood with us through a battle no farm should ever have to fight—your support, your generosity, your presence… it has meant everything.

You’re not just supporters.

You’re family.

And I love you all. 🤍
