The girls asked for fruit while they were on the waterslide, and we’re growing watermelon, so guess what they got haha 😆

Anyways, we spread the scraps out, so every pin got some - even the turkeys. They all loved it!

Although, the younger pin is definitely still figuring out what treats are and if they like them or not 😁

Eggs are an absolute STAPLE in our household. The fact that we only collected 7 eggs is NOT GOOD! 😩

That’s how many eggs I cook for breakfast in the morning for me and the girls :/ it doesn’t include any I might use for pancakes or waffles or any other meal throughout the day 🥲

I just truly enjoy watching the chickens pick through the food, interact with one another, and run off with whatever they’ve selected. It’s so entertaining! 🤪

At the beginning of Summer, I definitely would have agreed with JP…we probably had too many chickens 😅

But now 🤦‍♀️ for the amount we have that have nearly survived this intense Summer heat, we’re hardly getting any eggs 🥲

I can neither confirm nor deny whether or not that large egg was a double yolker or not 😬

I imagine we’ll have a handful of them as the weather begins to change 🙃

Well I’m not sure ‘who done it’, but I know it’s not happening anymore. Now I just have to keep ample space between the chickens and the turkeys 🤪

I don’t know…I’d kind of rather the explanation be that snakes came and ate eggs rather than the more likely explanation that my hens laid me diddly squat 🤦‍♀️

I didn’t even realize I kicked it until this morning 🤦‍♀️ and now I see that I completely cracked open the egg that was punched in on one end too. Good job me 👍

Oh my word that scared me 😂 turns out, it’s just a toe punch, and the membrane was still intact 😄

Bringing sample colors would be ideal, but I think I’d look a bit crazy walking around the paint store with eggs/eggshells 🤪

We’re going for some darker colors anyways teheh 😄
