Our biggest project we have ever done is going well. The land is getting cleared and it is looking so good. The future of Twin Creeks Farm is bright! With Aaron Reynolds! Still a lot of work to do.

Man it was a hot one today πŸ₯΅! But the work must continue. Farming doesn't stop for anything. I need to build a fence in the winter but it never works out that way πŸ˜‚! Cliffside is coming along well! Can't wait to share more pictures and videos of our land clearing project soon. Maybe some drone footage. We are currently working on 1 of 4 new pastures. This section we are working on now is around 15-20 acres. And I did use an auger πŸ˜‚ I just cleaned the hole out with the post hole diggers. Stay tuned and please pray for rain. This drought is still bad and this heat isn't helping! Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Sunday! Yesterday we were finally able to come off the sacrificed pasture to some pretty good grass that has rebounded from the rain we got the last couple of weeks. Hopefully we get more rain this week. We are having to adjust and do things a lot differently with the drought but our cows and calves are growing and holding their weight. We are always learning and I know that's going to make this farm better and better as we go along. PS In this video the donkeys decided they were going to make a break for it lol. We got them back πŸ˜‚

We have a healthy surprise bull calf! πŸ˜‚ 😊

Did you know male and female blue birds roughly consume around 500-1000 insects a day! Around 4 grams a day or 12 percent of their total body weight. They are very beneficial for farms and love perching on fence rows while they look for a quick meal! Recently we added several more blue Bird houses and will eventually add more. All of them are mostly occupied.

Rain rain rain! Man I am so glad to say that word. It's crazy but things are already starting to green back up. Those few days in the 90's really hit hard with the grass and everything was already so dry. But this 2 and almost 1/4 inches will definitely help. I'm excited we still have a ways to go but hopefully we will be in a pattern before long and get our pastures back in good shape. Currently we are just moving very fast rotating around the farm but there just isn't much left. So I'm supplementing some protein tubs and hay right now. I hope things improve and we can make it through without having to sell some. Hay is very short in supply so fingers crossed we get a good fall cutting. I got my hands on some old hay we are going to use that is still good. That should get us by for a little bit if we need it but we will still have to buy a little more. Thank you Lord for this rain we have received so far. Y'all be safe and enjoy your holiday weekend. Thanks to those who have served or are currently serving! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸŒ§οΈπŸ’§πŸ„πŸπŸ¦†πŸ”
