Great day with great friends at the MRCA fall show!

🖤 Chai : 1st in class x2 (2 legs earned)
🤎 Mocha : 1st in class x3 / BOV x2 / BOSV x1 (2 legs earned)
💙 Lute : 1st in class x1 / BOSV x1 ( no legs 😭)
💙 Valerian : 1st in class x 2 / BOV x2 (no legs 😭)

I was also able to get Chai registered and Grand Champion status is now pending! Mocha is FINALLY on the board earning herself 2 legs today! If only her daughter could spare one of her 7 legs. The blue does had great placements and comments as well!

I was hoping this show would narrow down my convention prospects, but I’m still so on the fence about who to bring.

Shout out to Little D Rabbitry’s Lorraine for running the show and making the amazing awards. I’m so happy I won some! 😁

Now that she’s had some time to decompress, I would like to introduce the newest member to the Pepperwood Canyon crew! Say hello to JEMS GC Peppermint Patti! We’re so excited to have this beautiful doe here and hopeful that she will bless us with some equally beautiful kits in a couple of weeks!

Rabbit! Rabbit! Rabbit!

I can’t believe it’s already July! The end of the year will be here before you know it. What are your barn/farm goals you still need to accomplish before the year is up?

Azula had her kits! She kindled 7 (3 blue torts, 4 blues) but sadly, one of the torts had passed in the box. I so hope that one of those torts has the type to be a keeper as I simply adore blue torts! Thank you again Rawhide Ranch & Rabbitry for sharing Belus with us! 😁

The realization that kits will soon be out of the nestbox hit Millie pretty hard 🤣

Millie finally had her kits! She had 3 (1 black and 2 blues) but sadly, one had passed. I’m a tad disappointed in another small litter from Millie, but I’m hopeful these two will get some good growth having the milk bar all to themselves. Welcome little ones! 💙🖤

West Coast Classic 2026 is a wrap! As always, I had such a good time hanging out with the Silver Fox group. There were some very impressive rabbits on the table this year and SF had a record number of rabbits for the specialty at 109!

🖤 Pepperwood Canyons Chai :
- 1st in class Intermediate Meat Makers Specialty
- BOB/BOV Meat Makers Specialty
- 1st in class Intermediate Silver Fox Specialty

Very Impressed with this doe. She has received BOB 3x in her short show career and has more than enough legs to Grand at only 4.5 months old!

💙 Pepperwood Canyons Azula:
- 1st in class Intermediate Silver Fox Specialty
- BOV Silver Fox Specialty

This little doe doesn’t make it to shows very often, but she has done well for herself and the Silver Fox Specialty was no exception. Azula got BOV and even had a date with the BOSV blue, Rawhide Ranch & Rabbitry RRR Belus. This pairing will help our tort program immensely! Thank you Ashley for sharing this handsome bucks genetics with us!

🧡 Pepperwood Canyons Torch:
- 1st in class Senior Silver Fox Specialty AOV (1st by default 😅)
- BOV Silver Fox Specialty AOV : Tort.

Torch didn’t have much competition with only 3 in the tort class, but were still proud of him. Now, if he could only prove himself as a breeder!

A huge shout out to my good friend, Loraine with Little D Rabbitry for making and donating the most gorgeous rosettes for the specialty. I’m so elated my rabbit finally won one of them!

Congratulations to all the winners and thank you for all you do to better the breed! None of this would be possible without you! See you all at Convention this fall!

So, my impatience got the better of me. Instead of waiting to have access to Magnum for a repeat breeding with Millie in a couple of weeks, I did an impulse breeding between Coal and Millie 😅 It will be my first Grand champion x Grand Champion pairing (pending Millie’s registration next weekend), so I’m excited to see what my 2 best rabbits produce!
