Joseph Jewell Wines

Joseph Jewell Wines Sustainable wines from acclaimed vineyards around Sonoma County and undiscovered sites in Humboldt.

In 2006 we began making wine in a garage for people like us – those who crave getting together with friends and family to enjoy good food and great wine. Since then, we’ve evolved into a family run operation that still embraces the community that has fostered our growth and the hard work that goes into making great wine year after year. The only advantage we had was the gift of hard work coupled w

ith a desire to create something uniquely our own. We’re proud to continue that passion today, crafting small-lot Pinot Noir from the unexplored vineyards of Humboldt County and crown jewel sites of Sonoma County.

Harvest Update 🍇

Adrian sampled last week and we’ll be picking at Hallberg Ranch as early as tomorrow. Small, beautiful clusters of Pinot Noir hung on a bit longer, thanks to some cooling fog in the Russian River. Still an early harvest...But not THAT early!

Looking forward to bringing in the fruit and working on those 2026 wines. Raise a glass to harvest tonight. 🍷

We are excited to be among the few wineries listed here! Love making Sauv Blanc - thanks for the kind words Press Democrat 💛

School may be back in session, but there are still plenty of summery Sauvignon Blancs to be had, especially from Sonoma County.

Ah, Pinot Noir. 🍇 A grape so beloved we’ll play dress up to celebrate it!

Scenes from this year’s Pinot Forum R.R.V. Bacchanalia - an annual celebration of Pinot Noir, and a fitting share on .

It’s no secret that this is one of our favorite varietals. From Humboldt to the Russian River Valley we love making these challenging, and rewarding wines.

Humboldt County is home to Winemaker, Adrian Manspeaker and we couldn’t be more proud to be making wines from this unique place. 🍷 Until next year!

First pick! 🍇 Harvest kicked off for us this morning at Hallberg Ranch, picking Pinot Noir for Rosé. If you’ve been tracking the harvest, you know it’s early this year, but the fruit is looking great and we are excited to see what surprises and challenges the vintage has in store for us.
Good luck to Adrian on getting some sleep over the next couple of months and cheers to our big wine community on a good season. Let’s go!! 🍾 Russian River Valley Winegrowers Taste West County Emeritus Vineyards

The first signs of veraison are finally showing here at Elk Prairie Vineyard in Humboldt County. 🍇

While many vineyards in the Russian River Valley are well into the ripening season, we’re typically about four weeks behind. That extended growing season is one of the things that makes Humboldt County so unique for Pinot Noir.

The long, cool days allow the fruit to ripen slowly, building flavor and complexity while preserving the vibrant natural acidity that we love.

Patience is part of the recipe up here… and it’s worth the wait.
