🌿 There’s a story behind every board we make.
When people think about a small farm, they often picture rows of vegetables, fresh eggs, herbs, goats, chickens, and maybe a roadside stand.

That’s certainly part of farm life—but there’s a reality that doesn’t always get seen.

For most small farms, you simply can’t make a viable living from one or two farm products alone.

Produce is seasonal. Eggs have a relatively small margin. Herbs take time to grow, harvest, dry, process, and package. Weather can wipe out a crop. Feed prices go up. Equipment breaks. And there are always expenses waiting around the corner.

The farms that survive often do so by finding ways to add value to what they produce and diversify throughout the year.

That’s where our Appalachian charcuterie and cutting boards come in.

These aren't mass-produced boards ordered by the pallet and shipped to us.

They are made here, on our farm.

We select the wood, work it, shape it, finish it, and then create the designs ourselves. Each engraving is intentionally designed to celebrate the things that make Appalachia special—our mountains, our music, our traditions, our wildlife, our farms, and the culture that has been passed down through generations.

And because they're made individually, no two boards are exactly alike.

When you purchase one of our boards, you're getting much more than something to put cheese and crackers on.

You're getting a piece of Appalachian craftsmanship.

You're getting something made by hand rather than something stamped out by the thousands.

You're getting an heirloom that can be used in your kitchen, brought out when family gathers, or passed down to your children and grandchildren.

And, perhaps most importantly, you're helping a small Appalachian farm remain viable.

That's something we don't take lightly.

Every board we sell helps us continue doing what we love—raising animals, growing herbs and food, making products from the farm, caring for this land, and building something that can hopefully be carried forward for many years to come.

Small farms don't survive on one product.

They survive through creativity, hard work, diversification, and people who choose to support them.

So when you choose a farm-made product, you're not just buying a thing.

You're helping keep a farm going.

And when that product is something beautiful, useful, and built to last for generations…

well, that's pretty special. ❤️

🌄 Farm raised. Appalachian made. Built to become an heirloom.

Thank you for supporting what we're building here at the farm.

Ever wonder what happens when our fresh-harvested herbs don't find a kitchen on market day? 🌿✨
They head straight to the dehydrator! While we love preserving our harvest, there is truly nothing like the vibrant flavor, aroma, and vitality of fresh-cut botanicals.
Right now, we're drying a batch of Toothache Plant alongside our signature Holy Basil, Lemon Balm, and Spicebush blend. Dried herbs make incredible tea, but using them fresh is a whole different experience!
If you've been looking for hyper-local, fresh herbs in the area, come see us early at the Kingsport Farmers Market! Grab them fresh while they're available, or ask us how to easily preserve your own at home. 🍃☕

We will be setting up tomorrow at the Kingsport Farmer's Market from 7am to whenever foot traffic slows significantly. We are excited to bring to you a new batches of soaps, roll-on essential oil blends, tinctures, and we have replenished our salves. Since we set up Wednesday, we won't have as many eggs with us, but we will have 2 dozen. Additionally we will have our famous charcuterie boards and cutting boards! Remember, Christmas is just around the corner and they would make fantastic Appalachian made heirloom gifts! Please come support us so we can continue to be a resource for you and our community! At this point we will not be at Kingsport Farmers Market tomorrow. We cannot afford to not vend but we had a flashflood earlier this evening. It literally ripped our water pipe out of the ground and pump house. The rain flooded everywhere but mostly the side of the state road that they do not maintain and is eroding down onto our property. We will hopefully fix the water line tomorrow after the creek has calmed down. There's no crossing it like that. Prayers this fix isn't too much and for the goats. They're still in a makeshift shelter. All these setbacks from severe weather. I never saw it constantly rain torrential downpours like this 😭 Believe it or not, this is a steady spring fed creek we walk thru all the time, not attached to rivers up here. This is all from the rain in a matter of minutes.

We apologize but we will not be open again today. We have so many projects we are trying to get done and for every project completed, three more seem to take its place. We will let you know when we start opening again. In the meantime, please feel free to get in touch with if you need anything.
