As we welcome fall and nestle into shorter days, I wanted to give options for daytime readings for those who do not like to drive in the dark and those who do not want to drive quite so far from Albany.

I'll be at the Healing Den in Albany once a month, for the rest of the year. Come see the fabulous Jessica LaClair and shop her goodies and hang with me and your ancestors. I'll also have fresh honey, soaps, teas, herbs, and eggs for purchase and pick up!

Message me or text me for a spot. If all goes well tomorrow, I hope to build it into the website as well.

You can reserve multiple spaces if you'd like longer. Before each event I'll post if there are spaces open for drop ins.

I'm looking forward to seeing you all!

One of the biggest things I learned recently is 2 opposing ideas can exist at the same time and both be correct.

Took me a bit to mull that one over. I got the concept but not the full understanding.

Then yesterday, it was sunny and raining and the light bulb came on. Both existed at the same time and in that space of opposition, there was beauty.

May you find the beauty despite the chaos.

I promised big for the fall!

Besides working to build the never ending coop, raising Marley, loving Maggie, tending chicks, minding my bees, harvest from the garden, classes and work.... I've been building a new members area.

The back end work is never pretty, but the goal is to serve clients better. With that said, I'm trying to catch up on emails and texts since being gone last week. What an experience to not be with my phone for 90% of the day!

So what have I created? An entire inventory app (means easier point of sale for you and not running out of products), new classes, a whole new newsletter template, meditations, and an herbal experience. I've added more email appointment reminders for those who book online, built an event page, text reminders for appointments, and moved my communication platform to constant contact. Wix had such s small frame of allowed emails, I could no longer do what I've wanted to do. Big updates coming for my website under land as well... but I think my computer needed a break.

As I've completed about 700 hours of herbal training, I'm dipping my toes into helping others with their well being in the herbal arena. Feel free to take a look in the herbal sanctuary, but i won't be doing consults until October. I need to study and finish my final exam at Cornell University, by Sept 15.

There is a lot more to come and I mean a lot more!! I'm offering a sneak peak in My Herbal Sanctuary on my website at www.beeandbriar.com. Youll have free access until Oct.1. Then membership is $10 a month. You do need to log in with your email as their are sections like journal prompts that are just for you to see. No one has access to your space.

I've a lot more to add to the herbal sanctuary. Building code, creating and experience always helps to load light and try it!

So what's your next step?? If you want my newsletters you need to subscribe and click the box that says yes, I'm in. I cannot send emails through constant contact unless you've said yes. I sent an email last night to all of the contacts regarding an event this weekend. Look for an email from Bee & Briar, LLC. As it's from a new source of constant contact, you may need to check spam. If you don't have it, you need to head to my webpage and click the subscribe button!

So happy for this accomplishment! 100% on the exam. I was told it was their first in some time. My honey can now carry the seal.

Safety of my honey, stewardship of the land and my bees. Had a great conversation with a state apiary inspector as they inspected my hives.

A Little Bee & Briar Business Update

I’ve been busy behind the scenes making a few changes to make staying connected with Bee & Briar a whole lot easier.

✨ Event reminders have been updated!
When you book for a session, you’ll now receive reminders one month before, one week before, and 24 hours before so dates don’t sneak up on you.

📱 Text updates are coming, too!
I’m adding text messaging as another way to share important reminders and updates without relying solely on social media.

🌿 Events are now on the website
Upcoming classes, circles, workshops and gatherings will be easier to find in one place, so you can see what’s coming and plan ahead. A newsletter will be coming out soon. Please subscribe on my website www.beeandbriar.com to receive updates.

🍁 Fall soaps are in the making!
A little bit of autumn is already beginning behind the scenes at Bee & Briar. 🍂 More to come soon!

📚 A quick scheduling note
I’ll be away for training August 16–22, so messages and responses may be a little more limited during that week. I’ll get back to everyone as soon as I can.

There’s been a lot of behind-the-scenes work happening lately—paperwork, calendars, scheduling and systems that aren't particularly exciting to photograph 😂—but all of it is helping Bee & Briar grow into something a little more organized, connected and easy to navigate.

Thank you for growing along with me. 💚

🌾✨ Happy Lughnasadh! (LOO-nah-sah) ✨🌾

Long before modern calendars marked the seasons, the ancient Celts looked to the land. Lughnasadh, celebrated around August 1st, marked the first harvest—the time when grain ripened, berries filled the hedgerows, and communities gathered to give thanks.
The festival is named for Lugh, the Celtic god of skill, craftsmanship, and light. According to Irish tradition, he created this festival in honor of his foster mother, Tailtiu, who sacrificed her life after clearing Ireland's forests so the people could farm the land. Her story reminds us that every harvest comes from dedication, sacrifice, and hope.

For the Celts, the harvest was never guaranteed. A season of drought, storms, or disease could mean hunger through the winter. Lughnasadh became a sacred time to celebrate the gifts of the Earth, honor the work that brought them forth, and strengthen the bonds of family and community.

🌻 5 Simple Ways to Celebrate Lughnasadh

🌾 Bake a loaf of bread or cook a meal using fresh, local ingredients.

🍯 Support a local farmer or beekeeper by visiting a farm stand or market.

🥕 Harvest something from your garden—even if it's only a handful of herbs or flowers.

🕯️ Light a candle and spend a few quiet moments reflecting on what you've grown and accomplished this year.

💛 Offer gratitude to nature by taking a mindful walk, leaving birdseed or wildflower seeds for wildlife, or simply saying "thank you" to the land.

May your harvest be abundant, your home be blessed, and your heart be filled with gratitude.

I would love to hear how you are celebrating this day!!

🌾 Blessed Lughnasadh from Bee & Briar Homestead. 🐝🍯
