Oftentimes when you're sick, or suffering from various ailments, your doctor will tell you to get more fresh air, be outside more, and exercise. We can all agree that that generally makes you healthier, right?
Do you know what makes chicken more "tender?" The opposite. To produce a chicken product that has a softer texture, you put the fastest growing chicken into a climate controlled barn with no sunlight, give them high-test feed in large quantities, and harvest them in as short of time as possible.
You know what gives you a softer texture? Lay on the couch, dim the lights, never leave the house, watch brain rot television, and eat candy bars.
We know that's not healthy for you. So is that healthy for chicken? Are you chasing quantity or quality? Are you chasing price or nutrient density?
That's why we do it differently. We believe that you are what you eat. So we raise chicken on pasture, give them plenty of fresh air, sunshine, and exercise. Sure, it changes the texture, but it also enhances the flavor. Don't expect it to be the same product you buy at the store. It's not.
