A friend of a friend has numerous mango trees and he brought an abundance to choir Tuesday. I don’t know the variety of these. The skins were still as green as they could be with just a slight give, but they had a couple of soft spots so I decided I best cut into one. Thanks goodness I did! They were perfectly ripe, sweet as candy and absolutely no strings or fiber! This is 5 of them going into the freezer for smoothies. YUM! I have a few left still hard as baseballs. Maybe another day or two!! Thanks Armando 🥭

I’m back! I make beautiful, delicious, custom cookies! I started on my professional journey as a cookier in 2014. I quickly became well known and very busy as the “only” custom cookie decorator in St. Lucie County at that time. For years I enjoyed the passion of late nights and weekends after a 9-5 doing the work I loved most of all. Then we fast forward to 2020 and many life changes for my family occurred. Selling houses, building houses, being displaced, moving, grandchildren being born, illness, and unfortunately; I lost my passion. I turned my back on the very work and creativity I love so much. Well no more! Today, inspired by someone I don’t even know, the fire burns again! I make beautiful, delicious custom cookies! This day, 6 years ago, I gained a daughter! One of the 5 best days of my life! She is my son’s wife, my grandchildren’s mother but more than that, a daughter in my presence, a friend, a confidant, a Laverne to my Shirley, a secret teller, a laugh til we cry’er, a I got your back and you got mine, a neighbor (she says a Landlord🤣) and so much more. I love you both and I’m so happy my son made the choice he made and she said yes! Here’s to 50 more 🥂🍾. Happy Anniversary.
Yum! Those cold, refreshing, tasty frozen drinks everyone enjoys, especially in summer! Ever drink one too fast? You know, so fast you get that , OMG! bend over at the waste, hold your head in agony “brain freeze”? Sure you have! We all have at least once or twice in our lives. Do me a favor, the next time you experience this “brain freeze”….keep drinking until you think you’re gonna pass out. Then the next time someone tells you they have a migraine, try to reimagine that extended brain freeze and add severe nausea and vision, speech and mobility issues on top of it. Yes, I’m on full Social Security Disability because I have a full time Disability. It’s called Chronic Vestibular Migraine. It prevents me from leading a normal, productive life. I’m not telling you this for pity or sympathy. I don’t need either. I need to educate you! I need you to walk in my shoes even if it’s only for the 5 second “brain freeze” that feels like a lifetime to you. Please, the next time someone tells you they have migraine disease, whatever you do, don’t say, “oh yeah, I get headaches too”. You haven’t got a clue.

Was giving our new-to-the-family baby Zubu “Butch” a treat and afterwards I bent down and said ”now come give Gigi a kiss” and sure enough! I got my first ever cow kiss right on the nose! I know some day he’ll be steak, but right now he’s our new farm baby! Pretty boy. Those eyes though!
My Migraine Buddy app tells me today and the week ahead have some really tough weather driven days for me. It’s not lying!

I am calling out LG Appliances. I am never purchasing again and letting everyone know why. No customer loyalty! In the last 10 years, I have remodeled 2 kitchens and laundry rooms and built my current brand new cottage. All three were outfitted with over 30k in LG appliances.At my last property, the compressor in my 4k fridge failed just at the end of the warranty. They replaced it, no question. When it failed again in less than a year, they stood by the product and stated there had been a defect and replaced that one as well, even though I was out of warranty. This made me stand by LG. Fast forward to my brand new cottage. Appliances are 8 months old. Over 10k of their products (I did get them at a much better cost at a Best Buy sale). I call them to report the rubber trim around the edge of my glass cooktop is crumbling like sand! They send a tech out to check “ burning rubber”. I said take a look. If it’s burning, you have a bigger problem than I thought! The tech says, oh no ma’am, it’s what you’re cleaning it with. WHA?!?! #1 I’ve been cleaning my glass stove tops the same way for over 30 years #2 if it’s what I’m cleaning it with, why is the entire back of the cooktop not doing it? I don’t just clean the front half of my stove! He says, no look here, it’s about to start, as he digs his fingernail into the rubber and tries to chip out a piece. NOW I’m a little bit angry. He calls into the company and sends them a video. They’re coming up with all kinds of reasons why I have caused this to happen when I finally learn, it’s because they have to replace the entire cooktop and they don’t want to do that! I call bu****it LG. You have an issue with this rubber around the cooktop. I don’t hardly even cook! I bake. I baked today and when I was finished, the first two photos show more of the rubber crumbling like sand! I don’t bake on my cooktop. I will NEVER recommend you to anyone and every chance I get I will tell the world what lousy customer loyalty and warranty you have. Never LG.
On this cold South Florida day made for beef vegetable soup in my beautiful Martha Stewart enameled stock pot, I decided to try out my Black Friday Kitchen Aid food processor attachment to my 6qt mixer. I purchased model KSM3FPA with the dicer blade and used it to dice my carrots, celery, onion and potatoes. I was finished in about 3 minutes and they were perfect!! Then all the working parts went right into the dishwasher and I was one super happy Gigi. I got the soup made and the kitchen cleaned up and the grandbaby is still napping. I’ll never chop veggies again. Thank you Kitchen Aid 💙
