🚨 WELL… WE’RE STILL ALIVE🚨

Apparently running a homestead, raising kids, working, keeping animals alive, growing plants, and surviving everyday chaos means I completely forgot I had a page for like 43 months. 💀

Maybe it’s only been about 3 months, but in Facebook time that’s basically 4 years. But YES Jones Twisted Farmstead is still alive and kicking!

I’ve got LOTS to catch y’all up on, so prepare for the photo dumps, animal spam, plant obsession, greenhouse updates, and whatever other nonsense we’ve gotten ourselves into. 🖤🌿🐓

Did y’all miss us… or did you enjoy the peace and quiet? 🤣

🤣🐓🌱🖤

There’s just something special about the bond between a girl and her Silkie. 🖤🐔

To everyone else, it might just be a chicken… but to her, it’s a fluffy little best friend. The cuddles, the trust, and the way they’re completely comfortable together this is one of my favorite parts of raising our birds. 🥹

Farm kids really do love a little differently. ❤️

🌿 Philodendron Paraiso Verde 🌿

This is exactly why I love watching new leaves unfurl! That crazy green-on-green variegation gets me every time. One leaf can look completely different from the next, and this one definitely understood the assignment. 💚

Nature really said, “Let me show off a little.” 😂

My one girl really said, “Plain eggs? Never heard of her.” 😂

Look at those gorgeous blooms, this is all from one chicken! Every egg is its own little piece of farm fresh artwork. 🐔🎨

I sadly only got one Hen out of my eggs from Webbed Foot Farm and I really can not be disappointed.

Ever cracked an egg and noticed a little “bullseye” on the yolk? That’s called a bloom

JJJJUUUSSTTTT kidding 😂 The bloom is actually the egg’s natural protective coating on the shell! It helps keep bacteria out and moisture in, which is why fresh, unwashed farm eggs are pretty awesome. 🐔🤎

There’s just something different about growing your own food. 🌱🥦🌶️

Plant it, water it, question every life choice when the bugs show up… then finally get to say, “Yep, I grew that.” 😂

Fresh from the garden just hits different. ❤️
