One lesson the horse industry has taught me:

Ask 10 trainers the same question, and you’ll likely get 10 different answers.

Instead of asking who’s right, I’ve found it more useful to ask, “What can I learn from each perspective?”

Not every piece of advice will be right for you, but dismissing an idea simply because it’s different is a missed opportunity. Diverse viewpoints challenge our assumptions, sharpen our thinking, and often lead to better decisions.

Growth doesn’t come from hearing what you already believe—it comes from thoughtfully considering what you don’t.
