This is a little preview of whats to come!
I’m sure you’re wondering… what happened to the syrups? What about the pretzel bites?
Well let me tell you how it all ties in.
We are following cottage food laws, so no foods that require refrigeration. Syrups are getting a makeover, which I’ll talk more about.
Dry ingredients are okay, which is what lead us to seasonings, apple c***r mix, and potentially more.
Okay so how does seasoning tie in?
We introduced new flavors to Pretzel bites, but discovered these flavors could be used for so much more!
Syrups have not gone away, but with a short shelf life, and refrigeration needed, they are not approved by cottage food laws, so a bigger production can not happen. Just small batches here and there.
I am learning how to create my syrups in dry ingredient form which means, YOU get to decide when you want the syrups. Simply pour the mix into the pot on the stovetop, and simmer it and in 3-5 minutes you have Mrs. Kelly’s Simple Syrup!
That production will be introduced in the spring
Until then I will introduce a pretzel seasoning one by one!!
I just discovered my love of cooking, and discovered I’m not as bad at it, as I originally thought I was. What completely transformed my cooking was the use of seasonings. I learned not everything had to be spicy, and I can work some brown sugars and honey to balance the sweet and spicy. Now my eggs have a little garlic kick in the morning, and my chicken and potatoes are filled with so many flavors I didn’t think it was possible!
