H2F Con Artist… I recently asked her is she was upset about not showing this summer. She replied, “What? Speak louder. I can’t hear you over the crunching sounds related to all this delicious food I’m chewing.”

I love this goat. She’s calm, knows her name, has never needed deworming (even during the transition from her birth farm to ours), and has never even thought about causing trouble. She’s such a good doe.

Chrissy got herself a job with a view. Boers are nobody’s first choice for a landscaping crew - it’s mostly Alpines and Kikos. I don’t know why. Boers are the sweetest breed of goats I know and they benefit from the pasture rotating nature of the business. The majority of our Boers come from someone’s show string so this group is incredibly easy to handle and manage. I love these goats. Look for the vegetation on the mountainside to disappear.

We'll be underneath our bright blue tent with all the goat milk soap and pet treats at the Spirits Festival of Belle Grove Plantation tomorrow instead of attending the VA is for Boer Goat Lovers auction. I haven't even registered for online bidding. Only one of us is sure that we made the right decision.

We're switching things up this week. In addition to my regular Wednesday gig at the Spotsylvania Farmers Market, I'll also be vending at the the Spirits Festival of Belle Grove Plantation this Saturday. I'll be in good company - Elvis, James Madison, Abraham Lincoln, and Captain Jack will be in attendance. I'm going to leave the meat cooler at home for that event but I'll have a ton of Pet Treats and a small amount of raw goat milk for animal consumption, plus SO MANY new soap flavors. There's a little bit of rain the forecast but it's still early - that could change. Also, I'm not scared of a little bit of rain.
