Pine & Cypress is a small-batch bakery on a hobby farm in Florida’s Panhandle, where granola and pastries are made by hand, books are gathered and shared, and ducks, chickens, and a chubby pig wander about.

One of my favorite things about our little business happens before most people are awake.

Before 6 a.m., while the farm is still stretching awake and the coffee is just starting to brew, the granola goes into the oven. Slowly, the smell of toasted oats, maple syrup, cinnamon, pecans, and whatever batch we’re making that day begins to drift through the house.

It’s impossible to be in a bad mood when your kitchen smells like a bakery and a warm hug had a baby.

The chickens don’t seem impressed. The pig is mostly interested in breakfast. But me? I’ll never get tired of those first few moments when the aroma starts wafting through the air and I know something good is on the way.

Fresh granola mornings are my favorite kind of mornings. ❤️🌾🥣

We weren’t planning to add another item to the menu. Then these happened.

Chocolate peanut butter protein bars. 10g of protein in each bite. No refined sugar. Fudgy enough to feel like dessert.

This morning started with sunshine in a glass. ☀️🥕
We made the Jamaican Carrot Juice from Briscoe’s Kitchen and Spice, from peeling to pouring, the whole process took just 30 minutes. Fresh carrots, apples, oranges, and ginger blended into something bright, bold, and ridiculously refreshing. The kind of recipe that feels like nourishment and comfort all at once.

If you’ve never had authentic Jamaican carrot juice before, trust me… this is the one worth trying.
