We still have plenty of pumpkins! Order yours today and pick up at Old Barn Market or here at the farm. See order form for details.
Scroll all the way down to see pictures of each pumpkin variety! Order your pumpkins for pick up at Old Barn Market, 214 State Street, Binghamton or at the farm by appointment. Once you place your order I will email you to confirm. Thank you!
We had a surprisingly successful potato harvest - 1000# strong! This snake wasn't too happy with me getting in it's space but we made amends. I enjoyed finding "hearty" potatoes! We'll have potatoes for sale at Pumpkin-palooza

Here at the farm we rely on wonderful draft horses and mules to get work done. This is Ace (left) and Penny. These two arrived this past March and are some of the newer additions to the farm. Ace is a Percheron mix and Penny is a Belgian. They made lots of hay this year as well as plowed, disced, cultivated! They will be giving wagon rides this weekend! Meet Ace and Penny this Saturday at Pumpkin-palooza

A beautiful day yesterday harvesting black beans. Thank you Jess, Becca and Donn for your help! And of course thanks to Lady and Pete, the lovely draft animals. No idea how many beans we harvested but once they are processed and weighed i'll update!
Look at that happy bean team.

And now discing! Plowing turned the sod over and now we are slicing through to help break it all down. I think this was my first time driving 4 horses. It was pretty fun and challenging for me. Sean and Donn make it look easy!
Plowing for next years bean and veg crop!

Hey all, sorry to say we will not be at market tomorrow. Plenty of setbacks this week helped make that decision. Sean and I thank you all for your support during our first season. We are working on a wholesale list of great storage crops to move in a new marketing direction. We will see you soon!
We will be at the Binghamton Regional Farmers market once again tomorrow with carrots, acorn squash, spaghetti squash, butternut, potatoes, kale and collard greens. Our acorn squashes are really sweet and tender. I bake all winter squash whole then cut them in half to make opening easy. Come get some tomorrow to make soup on these chilly days! Keep in mind we will be at the market for only 2 more weeks and will not be joining the Winter Market. But the Market is year round every Saturday so be sure you keep on going over there to get your food and support your local farmers, bakers, brewers and body product makers!
We will be at the Broome County Regional Farmers Market tomorrow. We have lovely unique flower bouquets, beet greens/beets, carrots, lettuce, potatoes herbs and of course Northland Sheep Dairy cheese!
Sean and I cultivating with Lady last week. We've been lucky to have rain lately and crops are growing..as well weeds!

Finally we will be joining the Broome County Regional Farmers Market tomorrow for the Grand Opening! We'll have lettuce, kale, herbs and delicious cheese from Northland Sheep Dairy. Here's a few more photos from today! We've managed to not destroy the lovely Killdeer eggs! Hopefully we will see you at the farmers market!
