After spending the last two and a half days worrying, searching, and overthinking about our 7 missing call ducks, I realized how much a part of our family they are.
This hobby began when my daughter fell in love with call ducks at a county fair. After lots of begging and negotiating, we hatched our first four in spring 2025 — Biscuit, Pepe, Bluey, and Omelet. They instantly stole our hearts, and of course… we needed more.
Rocky joined us in early summer and earned his name because if you’ve ever seen ducks attempt to fight… it’s hilarious and slightly concerning(don't worry, we separated them). My youngest son (9) bought Cleo later that summer with his own money as a surprise for his sister. Feta joined our family in late fall from a young girl in Manawa who raised and loved her-we promised to take care of her.
These round, waddling little almonds greet us through the window every morning, sound the alarm when we step outside, and somehow manage to be even bigger beggars than our dogs.
💔 All 7 of our call ducks disappeared from our yard in Fremont, WI mid-day Sunday.
We are actively searching and asking our community to please help us keep an eye out.
✅ They may still be together as a group
✅ They are small domestic call ducks and may not survive long in the wild
✅ They may approach people, homes, or other flocks
✅ If someone “rescued” them thinking they were lost wildlife, they are very loved pets and we desperately want them home
