💙 A LITTLE SUNDAY NOTE FROM VINO VERITAS 💙

This Sunday, our little blue cottage will be CLOSED FOR A PRIVATE EVENT as we get to celebrate something special with some lovely people. 🥂

We’ll miss our usual Sunday crew, jazz, brunch bites and cellar pours, but we’ll be back next week for all the things we love about Sundays at Vino!

Thank you for understanding and for allowing us to be a place where people gather, celebrate and make memories. That’s one of our very favorite things about Vino Veritas. 💙🍷

School has started, college kids are getting ready to head back, schedules are filling up again and just like that, summer is starting to wind down.
I always have mixed feelings about this time of year. There is excitement about what’s ahead, but also that feeling of wanting everything to slow down just a bit and relish in something a bit indulgent: a last minute vaca, one more nice dinner with the family, or a night out with a friend you haven’t seen enough this summer.
That's one thing I love about guests at Vino Veritas. It's so cool to see people come in for a glass of wine or to hear some music, but then they run into someone they know. Or they meet someone they didn’t know and pull a chair over. They stay longer than they planned and suddenly a simple night out becomes something more. I think we need places like that. ❤️
And this week is such a good week to enjoy it.🥳

Thursday is our monthly Blue Cottage Ladies Society, and have I absolutely loved watching this night become a thing! Women come with friends, some come not knowing many people at all, passports get stamped, friendships are made and for a few hours we just get to enjoy being together. 💕
For the month of August, we are celebrating Sunflowers & Sisterhood 🌻 Wear yellow, wear a sunflower, stick one in your hair...have fun with it! Kamil Bonner will be singing her heart out for us, and ladies who come dressed for the theme will be greeted with a complimentary glass of Chandon sparkling. 🍾
Then we head into the weekend with some really incredible musicians. Friday night, The Matchsticks are on the Velvet Stage with their Chapman Stick and drums. If you’ve never seen them, they are SO cool and different...and somehow can play just about anything you can think of, with a good bit of humor thrown in!
Saturday we welcome back local favorite Brandon Fenley, and I’m really hoping the keytar comes with him. It somehow makes a one man show such a textured performance. 🎸🎤🎹

School has started, college kids are getting ready to head back, schedules are filling up again, and before we know it, we’ll all be back in the routine. So let’s enjoy these days while we have them.

Spend a little time with us at the blue cottage this week. 🍷 Wednesday, we’re open 4–10PM and Happy Hour is ALL night: 10% off wine and beer flights. Come sit back, relax, try something new on our wine menu or in the speakeasy - and enjoy a simple Wednesday evening. 🌻

THURSDAY IS BLUE COTTAGE LADIES SOCIETY! 🌻 This is our big night this week and our August theme is Sunflowers & Sisterhood! Ladies, wear yellow, wear sunflowers, put one in your hair...have fun with it! Today we have Tianna Hall & Greg Petito bringing us the coolest mix of jazz and Bossa Nova. Tianna’s beautiful voice with Greg on jazz guitar is just SO good together…and it’s exactly the kind of music I want to hear on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

This second weekend of August (already!), we have two wonderful solo artists taking the Red Velvet Stage!

🎹 TONIGHT: Amber Nicholson
Our beautiful, jazzy Amber is back at the piano, singing those lovely tunes that make you want to settle in with a glass of wine and stay awhile.

And yes…it’s August in Texas. 😂 But our covered patio has cool misters overhead, fans moving the air, cold drinks in the glasses, and it really is such a lovely place to spend a summer evening.

Tomorrow night Saturday, local favorite Gabe Montoya is back! Gabe brings such a fun night singing all those songs you know and love and inevitably have everyone singing along.

Two nights. Two great local musicians. Two completely different vibes.

🍷August Regulars of the Month 🍷

One of the greatest joys of Vino Veritas is the people who choose to make this little blue cottage part of their lives.

This month, we're delighted to introduce Dr. Donald Ross and his lovely wife, Marta Arroyo.

Donald and Marta first met in grade school, but their story didn't truly begin until they started dating in their mid-20s. Since moving to Fulshear in 2023 to be close to their two precious grandchildren, they've become such a wonderful part of our Vino Veritas family.

When asked what they enjoy most, their answer couldn't have been more fitting: "Pleasant company, conversation, music... and, of course, good wine."

We couldn't agree more - and we've loved having Donald and Marta visit us from the beginning, when we opened almost 2 years ago. Thank you, Donald and Marta, for choosing to spend your evenings with us, for sharing your kindness, hugs, and friendship, and for helping make Vino Veritas the special place it is.
