For my lady friends (and you guys too) who hunt. Don't go out spending a ton on scent free odor eliminating shampoo . Go to Dollar General. Get a bottle of this baby shampoo for about 3 to 4 bucks. Empty about 1/4 into a jar for later and top the bottle off with apple c***r vinegar shake. Works on hair and body and doesn't leave your hair dried out.

I decided that this was easier and a better use of the materials I already have. So rather than use the 2x6s to build a heavy wood gate for Rains stall those will be used for the new exterior door.
I dont know how much longer she will be with us so keeping her close to her buddies where she has the best air flow makes her the happiest. That spot is perfect for her. So tomorrow's build will be exterior doors and close up the back wall.

Ive been tired lately and not doing a whole lot. We have been hustling this past week rearranging the barn so we can get hay put up for winter. The intention was to get the addition on finally this year but the weather timing and energy just weren't on our side. So with sone changes in the buildings interior lay out we really actually already had the space. So Brian built 3 new stalls over the course of the summer. I'm closing off the back wall this week and 2 of the original stalls are bring taken down to become hay storage. I'd rather be riding but our woods as well as the neighbors are soaked and we can't track them up. So Brian cut a new door yesterday 8x8 and a space to install a man door today next to it. Less work than an addition. Though the pump house and run in still needs to go on before winter. But that's easy lol

Attention Horse friends. Please be aware there has been a change in this years early Antlerless Deer Hunting Season.
This has been Extended. Please be aware of this as you ride off property September 12th 30 minutes before sunrise to the 20th 30 minute after sunset in the WMUs listed below or visual reference if you live within the areas with red stripes.
Be aware this is not archery season for those not familiar. This is an early antlerless season where use of bow, crossbow or sh***un or r***e if permitted in that WMU, are allowed to be used in this early season.
Hunting will resume Thursday October 1 for Archery season. May all riders and hunters enjoy the outdoors safely.

It has been a bit since. I gave a Taz or a Kiz update. I've been busy trying to figure out Caly and her issues. Still looking for a good saddle fit for her and these two haven't gotten as much attention the last couple weeks.
So here they are. They have found their happy place together it seems. The last couple of weeks turning them out together seems to be the best match. Tazz and Brian Schaefer got a new saddle so we are hoping for a couple rides next week weather permitting. And hopefully Kiz can start getting tacked up and do some ground driving and more desensitization. I have been working with Kizmet on getting used to being pushed on from someone standing above her on a mounting blocm to prep her to have a chiropractic adjustment. I beleive the final thing to fix for her is either a subluxation somewhere in her lumbosacral or her SI joint area or a locked stifle. I am leaning toward the stifle. I am hoping thats the last piece of the puzzle.
