Did you know thereā€™s another way to shop Hopewell Farms? In addition to our farm store, home delivery, and farmers markets, you can find our products through Northeast Geogia Locally Grown!

Weā€™ve been selling through them for three or four years, and weā€™re big fans of what they do. They connect local farmers throughout the region with consumers, making it easy to shop local and pick up fresh, locally produced goods.

Introducing the pig board aka one of the most important tools for moving pigs around the farm.

Pigs donā€™t have great eyesight, so a pig board looks like a solid wall to them. With a few people working together, we can use these boards to calmly guide the pigs where they need to go without chasing or stressing them.

It may not look very sophisticated, but it works incredibly well.

And yes, carrying one around does make Phil look a little like a medieval warrior.

Our new covered composting area is officially up and running!

As part of our commitment to regenerative agriculture and reducing waste, we compost poultry processing byproducts, cracked eggs, vegetable scraps, and other organic material from around the farm.

With the help of wood chips, moisture, heat, time, and a little turning, that material breaks down into rich compost that can go right back onto our pastures and garden beds.

Healthy soil is at the heart of everything we do.
