CSA Application and Agreement 2015

Farewell from Farmet,

Farmet would like to thank you for your business throughout the summer. We hope your experience with Farmet was everything and more than the best! We are proud to say that 10% of our profits were donated to KPCK, a non proffit in town that has free meals every other Thursday.

We encourage you to continue buying local through the Galesburg Farmers Market which will be open through October. It is located in the parking lot between Kellogg and Seminary, across from Cornucopia. It is open Saturdays from 8am to noon rain or shine.

Spurgeon Veggies CSA offers a consistent supply of local veggies on a weekly basis similar to Farmet's weekly box. Their Fall CSA begins on August 11th and the application can be found here

Simple borscht. I made it the way my grandpa makes it which is to purée the beets after roasting them. I also sauteed the cabbage in bacon grease and chopped the bacon up and threw it in as well. The result: 5/5

Kohlrabi Home Fries Recipe

How do you cook kohlrabi? The kohlrabi sphere or root can be eaten raw, baked, or fried. Kohlrabi can be cut into thick sticks like home fries, browned in a small amount of oil, and seasoned with chili powder (my favorite), curry powder, cumin or paprika It’s a very satisfying and healthy fry.
