STOP TRYING TO MOVE SOMEBODY INTO A HOUSE THAT AIN'T READY TO BE LIVED IN.
If you bought a house that had been abandoned, neglected, and left to rot for 50 or 60 years, you couldn't just move your furniture in that mo********er and start living.
You'd have to tear some s**t OUT.
Check the foundation.
Redo the electrical.
Fix the plumbing.
Repair the walls.
Replace some doors.
Probably rebuild whole damn rooms.
And until that house reached a certain standard, NOBODY NEEDS TO BE LIVING IN IT.
Well, what if the house is YOU?
Your foundation is your sense of self.
Your electrical is your mind.
Your plumbing is your emotions.
Your walls are your boundaries.
Your doors determine who gets access.
Your kitchen is how you nourish yourself.
Your bedroom is your intimacy.
Your roof protects your peace.
And some of us are trying to have somebody move in while the whole damn house is still under construction.
Then we wonder why two people get together and can't make s**t flow.
Maybe neither house was ready for occupancy.
And that's where I think we've gotten with men and women.
Before we keep trying to figure out how to live together, some of us need to put up a damn sign:
UNDER RENOVATION.
NO OCCUPANCY YET.

Recover the Woman.
Then Change What We Hand the Girl.
