Well, I'm still not the greatest at tattoos, but I'm getting MUCH better and I'm proud of that!

Tattooed two girls that are hopping to their new home this weekend, and they were such sweet little ladies about it. They were super chill and not at all stressed.

Feeders.... J-feeders, bowls, coop cups, twist bowls, crocks... oh my!

What type of feeder do you prefer in your rabbitry, and WHY?

Did you change your method when you hit a certain number of rabbits in your barn?

A day in the life of Marigold lately! Keelee just follows her around and makes sure she's safe.

We were excited to attend the Royalty Rabbit Club's inaugural show, and LOVED that it was a TRIPLE open and TRIPLE youth! When you travel a distance, it is so awesome to have multiple shows at the same event. Love it!

Our final tally for judging, by rabbit! We took 12, so this will be quite a list.

Mountain Gypsy Blu (MG1PP), Blue Jr. Buck - BOV Show A, BOV Show B, BOV Show C - No show legs earned because there weren't enough exhibits in his variety.

Mountain Gypsy Jules Verne (MG2PP) Broken Sr. Buck - BOV Show A (Leg earned!)

Bella Rose Rewthy (BR3RC2) White Jr. Doe - 4/4 in show A, 3/4 in show B, 3/4 in show C. All judges commented that she is a great Jr. Doe, she just got edged out by the others. ALL judges commented that the whites were impeccable at this show and that to place them required an extreme amount of nitpicking on their parts, which is great feedback.

Mountain Gypsy Patch (MG2PL) Broken Jr. Buck - 1/3 in show A, 1/3 & BOSV in show B, 2/3 in show C. No leg earned, not enough exhibits

Bella Rose Fleury (BR3R2C2) White Jr. Doe - BOV and BOSB in show A (Leg earned!), BOV and BOB in show B (Leg earned!), BOV and BOB in show C (Leg earned!) This doe has surprised both Bella Rose Rabbitry and I - of the 3 REW Jr Does I purchased from her as itty bitties, Fleury was not the one either of us pegged to grow out so well!

Bella Rose Winnie (BR1R2C2) White Jr. Doe - 2/4 in show A, 2 of 4 in show B, 2 of 4 in show C. Very consistent remarks, simply edged out by Fleury each time. If fleury earns GC and I stop taking her to shows, Winnie could start earning some legs based on this feedback.

Bella Rose Olaf (BR2MR2) White Sr. Buck - 2/2 in show A, BOSV and BOSB in show B (Leg earned!), BOSV and BOSB in show C (Leg earned!). Jeremy and Nate both LOVED Olaf - they just loved Fleury a bit more lol.

Mountain Gypsy Snickers (MG2MP) Broken Sr. Buck - 2/3 in Youth Show A, 3/3 in Youth Show B, 2/3 in Youth Show C. He was being a jerk - way overstimulated!

Mountain Gypsy Grumpy Bunny (MG1MP) Broken Sr. Doe - BOV and BOB in show B.

Mountain Gypsy Light Fury (MG1OP) White Jr Doe - 3/4 in Show A, 4/4 in Show B, 4/4 in show C. Light Fury is a SOLID month younger than our other REW Jr Does but outweighs all 3 of the others. Where she currently lacks is in fur because she is solidly in her transition from baby fur to adult fur. All 3 judges were shocked at her age because of her size and all had very high hopes for her once she comes into her adult fur.

The other 2 we took are Keelee's exhibition projects - 3.5 month old brindle does. Both got good comments from the judges, but one did get better comments on color. Keelee lost her original brindle doe this summer, and we are excited to see this variety get recognized and get to compete. Until then, we will show under exhibition! *

*These two cannot compete in the shows because brindle is NOT a recognized variety in Rex. ARBA did establish a brindle rex working standard, effective 3/17/26, and they are in the Certificate of Development phase. To become a fully recognized variety, it takes a minimum of 3 years. In that time, those pursuing the COD will undergo presentations and evaluations of the breed. It is a rigorous process!

Keelee was pretty excited when her doe, Mountain Gypsy Grumpy Bunny (yes, that's her actual pedigreed name) earned Best of Breed in the second youth show! We really enjoyed attending the Royalty Rabbit Club's inaugural show on Saturday. MG Grumpy Bunny won Top Senior Doe when she showed her at our fair a few months ago too.

Keelee bred her very first rabbit to my very first rabbit, both purchased from Bella Rose Rabbitry. Keelee kept her dam (MG Marigold) from that very first litter, then retained MG Grumpy Bunny from Marigold's first litter. She's a beautiful doe with gorgeous, plush fur...and she's actually not really grumpy at all 😆.

If you want to see the picture of her mean mug as an itty-bitty that earned her this name, drop a comment, a ❤️, or a 👍. If we get some responses I'll put it in the queue to post!
