LONG POST ALERT🔥✨️💜
Last night was a profound experience🤩💜 to work side by side with some of the BEST talent locally, helping each other and seeing all the people who really are creating meaningful impact within our local communities. It really brings it home that I'm on the right path. Thank you to our amazing hosts Duckys and The Pearl, you all provided a welcoming space, tools, and hands, it couldn't have been a more meaningful experience. For my sweet man to come alongside and help us plate. Thank you for being me A1🤩🔥🥹🔥
Shout out to my sous chefs last night, Chris owner of Cotorie Pizza, right on time with the chevrolegs on! and Louie owner of Louie's Loves we rolled out prep smooth like butter and yiu showed up!! Your feedback and insight was much appreciated 💯 I felt good about our work and what we represented!
Spoiler Alert🔥 THE MENU
Briskey Business was a plate designed to be a voice for small businesses that are ranchers, it wasn't brisket, its was arm roast, brined for 24 hours, smoked and offset roasted for 18, and no one asked last night what the meat cut was... shop locally for your meats, things become affordable when you reinvest in where you live. This plate is also a reminder just as the seasons change so does our selection in food, and thats a good, natural thing, support those spots that bring in new experiences 💜
Devin's Dish
This was a brisket rendition ( g.f, vegetarian, and vegan) as well as low protein, my sweet nephew battled with a metabolic disease that robbed him of life experiences and made it hard to connect with food, but it changed with his mom gardening and me learning development, we out him to work🤩🤣🤩💜 we thought it would help and it did, he loved to cook, and try new veggies, we would grow things that catered to his diet and things we enjoyed as a tribe. Devin passed away Earlier this year, and the one thing I challenged myself on was everything he wanted to create, meat💯🍄💜🤩 this plate was a statement, Metabolic diseases are real and we live in a society that doesn't have much regard or awareness on these real life issues...the chefs in the house last night did, and makes me feel even better going to local spots, This is my tribute to Lil Denzel💜Some people are too big fir this world, and we honor them in all we do.
With all this said the best part of last night was seeing the people that really made it a full circle experience, forever grateful 💯💜🔥💜 not to mention I made some kickass new friends! Keep cooking, keep growing, and keep trusting your process💜✨️💜
