🥛 Are there seed oils in pasteurized milk?
This is an interesting topic that many people may not realize!
Commercial pasteurized milk is often fortified with vitamins A and D. Because these vitamins are fat-soluble and don’t naturally mix easily throughout a liquid, manufacturers use carrier oils in vitamin premixes to help distribute them evenly through the milk.
Those carrier oils can include soybean, corn, or sunflower oil. Other ingredients, such as emulsifiers, may also be used to help keep everything evenly blended.
So, yes—commercially fortified milk can contain amounts of vegetable/seed oils through the vitamin-fortification process. These amounts are generally small, and whether they must be specifically identified on the finished milk’s ingredient label can depend on the formulation and labeling requirements.
🤯 Isn’t that interesting?
Raw Milk is so simple. One ingredient, not a list. No hidden additives .🥛
