Greetings Flower Friend,

How are your gardens faring?

The rain was such a blessing last night! Our new trees planted this spring, the vegetable garden and the U-Pick field was in desperate need of a big drink.

🌻Growing flowers for cutting has taught me so much about plants and has encouraged me to view “gardening” from a different perspective, greatly enhancing my growing skills.

📣PRO TIP: When growing annual flowers from seed or tubers, such as Zinnias & Dahlias, it’s beneficial to cut out the central stem to signal to the plant to put more energy into growing side shoots which equals more blooms and a fuller, more robust growth habit.🌸💚

🙋🏻‍♀️If you’re interested in delving deeper into flowers and gardening, I’m sharing all about growing flowers and foliage for cutting in my “Petals in the Pavilion” Workshops being offered twice a month through October.

During these hands on events we’ll talk about the varieties grown for making stunning arrangements, review harvesting and stem prep, spend some time picking our flowers in the U-Pick Field and then compose a phenomenal vase arrangement using the 7 elements of floral design within our newly built pavilion!

If you missed Friday’s 💐U-Pick Flowers Grand Opening💐 we've got more opportunities for you to submerse yourself in floral beauty this season!

Our new Farm Store was specially designed to serve as a botanical gift shop and self-serve, U-Pick hub for customers!
Conveniently located along the roadside, there's plenty of parking and beautiful, mowed meadow paths to walk along as you make your way to the flower field!

Pop on over and pick yourself a small or large bucket of flowers as you peruse the flower field and enjoy the natural surroundings! All tools and supplies are provided for you. I’ve added plant labels to the rows so you have an enhanced learning experience, diving deeper into the world of cut-flowers.

What are some of your self-care routines?

Monthly massages, a daily workout routine, eating whole foods, fresh flowers in the kitchen, socializing with friends, a house-full of plants, walking after dinner…?

Health care professionals are always surprised to hear that all 5 of us are medication-free and have been blessed with good vision.

I’m not surprised at all because we’ve worked really hard to eat homegrown, support local, chemical-free farmers and curate a connected, creative, slow-living lifestyle for ourselves.

💚And yes, surrounding yourself with beauty IS IMPORTANT!💚

Hello Flower Friend,

👏🏻I want to give you a round of applause if you’ve been working long & hard towards something the “old fashioned way”. Little bits at a time. Envisioned, saved & sacrificed for, collected, thrifted, refinished, financed, repaired, re-imagined, pieced together and growing bit by bit in an organic way.

💚Dreams don’t manifest out of thin air, they take patience, persistence and passion.💚

I began this flower farm in 2020 as a way to connect my love of gardening in God’s Creation with others.
What first started off as just selling flowers & botanical decor divinely circled back to teaching art with a nature focus🎨

💕Since I found more joy in seeing others create with flowers we opened our flower beds to our first U-Pick customers in 2022.

Again in 2023, my own cut-flower beds served as a U-Pick sprinkled here and there throughout the season.

With inspiration and encouragement from my husband Jeremy, we broke ground in our meadow, in 2024, to provide a separate U-Pick space from my own cut-flower beds. Planted late, we never opened to the public so I utilized the extra flowers for bouquet subscriptions, florist sales and events.

Last year, having learned so much, we wanted to create a peaceful botanical space for people to connect and commune! The 2025 U-Pick season was glorious thanks to all of you who came out to support us!

Wanting to offer more and provide a creative, inviting space for guests we took a GIGANTIC leap of faith towards the 2026 U-Pick Flower Season and built an event pavilion,…😆

…SO, WE’VE GOT ‘LOTS TO CELEBRATE🎉

📣And we’d like to you to come celebrate (small) growth with us at our 5th Year of U-Pick Flowers Grand Opening ⬇️
