I love the holidays - and I love a good craft show! There will be some excellent vendors here! This one is my favorite, because it's a bit smaller venue - and I really like that! I'm also excited because my daughter will be selling some of her "Sassy Expressions Crafts" for the first time. Save the Date - come find some last minute gifts, super yummy treats, & holiday decor! It'll be a Lot of Fun!❤❤❤

Our next food distribution will be held this coming Saturday, November 8, 8:00 am to 12:00 noon. We'll check you in at your vehicle and bring prepacked food boxes to you. Please be sure to clear space in your vehicle ahead of time. Thank you.

You may have noticed that the pictures and post were removed before 5pm yesterday. I will go more into that down in this post. I want to talk about the Feed the World Community Pantry.

The pantry is maintained by several members of the community. It's stocked by Many members of the community AND partially funded by the GC Lions Club. I want to thank everyone who takes this little pantry to heart! It's being used more & more as SNAP isn't available.

The goal still is to supply food in an urgency. This is not a large pantry for shopping for several days at a time. It feeds a lot of people for a day at a time or maybe a fills in when you need some shelf stable milk, mac & cheese, toilet paper, etc.

With this said - if you are in need of greater quantity - you need a meal, and you don't want to come to my door - send a note through a friend of a friend of a friend! I did read the comments of explanations, and took those into thought - I do get that not everyone is comfortable walking up to a door.

Also - this webpage has the capability for someone to send a message. You need cereal, milk, bread - something else? Tell us what you need. If we can't supply it, there are other pantries in this town that we can ask for help as well. There is the monthly Hospital Pantry, The G.C. Pentecostal Church Food Pantry, and Midge's Community Cupboard, and on East 9th St, a lady has been making meals and leaving them in a cooler. They feed a family of 4 each.

Now, I would never sue anyone for taking too much; but I have asked not to clear the shelves in one fell swoop. Not because I want anyone hungry - but because if a person/family needs more, they need more - and we can help with that if someone would ask or have a friend ask; AND, that will leave something for other visitors at the roadside pantry.

The word is "impetuous" - Oxford describes it as "acting or done quickly and without thought" in the short verson. Well, I made a post in a moment of frustration. For that, I apologize. It is why the post disappeared before 5pm Tues.
I should always take a breath, and even when it's OK to have guidelines, there are ways to implement them - yesterday, was not that way. Jesus was kind... I want to be more like HIM.

I can't apologize for having a camera on the pantry or protecting my property. My garage was broken into. The pantry was been vandalized and completely looted (all the containers taken too) just after the new pantry was built; and has been vandalized since.

*Donations are welcome directly in the pantry box, or bring to the Pine St door at the ramp. We do ask that food items be in date. Thank You!

It's going to be a tight tight time in November for so many people trying to feed their families without the benefit of EBT. We are thankful to be able to help as we can. A huge THANK YOU to EVERYONE who has generously donated to our little pantry. Please visitors, please by all means, take what you need for the next couple of days - we don't want you hungry - but please do not hoard. Leave something for the next guy. We will replenish. If you need more than you see or feel comfortable taking - KNOCK on my door!! Let us know your need! (Knock on the Pine Street door at the ramp.)
