Clearing some fence rows today on the family farm and found this old ribbon barbed wire. Looks to date back to the 1870s. Pretty neat!

As we celebrate our nation's Independence Day, I'm reminded that every freedom we enjoy is a blessing from God and has been preserved through the courage and sacrifice of the brave men and women who have served our country.

Because of their willingness to defend our nation, we have the freedom to worship, to speak our minds, to raise our families, and to live according to our convictions. These freedoms should never be taken for granted.

Today, let us thank God for His many blessings on America, pray for His continued guidance and protection over our nation, and remember those who have worn the uniform and the families who have sacrificed alongside them.

"Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord." — Psalm 33:12

May God bless our military, our veterans, and the United States of America. Happy Fourth of July!
