If you haven’t stopped in an ate at Stuffed Potatoes & Poboys in Hammond you haven’t had a good potato! It’s amazing to say the least.

Back in Texas, unloaded and caught up on some sleep finally. The Royal and The Jack in B2B weekend was an experience like no other and we are blessed to be able to check that one of the list! Our 4 meats we turned it at the jack were great to us but the judges thought otherwise, competition bbq can bless you one week and humble you the next. Maybe that’s what keeps us coming back for more.

Huge congratulations to Janice SmellaQue for an incredible finish at the jack, and to all of our friends and great people we have met along the way, it was a great time and we hope to see everyone again down the road.

We did get to walk the big stage one time this weekend by winning “Spookiest home on the Hollow”. We wouldn’t have been able to make that possible without the huge help of Rusty’s Seasoning for Every Stuff, plus all of the great Cajun food that was served all weekend.

BIG thanks to the people who have helped us complete this bbq dream trip of ours we greatly appreciate it. Thank you to our sponsors and partners that help us day in and day out keep this thing rolling.

We traveled to Danny Dietz Memorial World Championship Cookoff this weekend for our first KCBS cookoff, with the hopes of getting a timeline and some knowledge under our belts for we take off for the royal. We had a great time and some really good turn ins. Congratulations to Pop A Top Cookers for their GC and Chicken Fried BBQ for RGC.

As for us we hit a 7th place brisket and wound up 4th overall! Got some money back and now back to CBA for a couple of weeks.

A TON of good barbecue was turned in this weekend in giddings and we got to watch Lost In The Smoke BBQ win their first GC, but of all of that bbq I still think the best food on sight was Rusty’s Seasoning for Every Stuff who came down to cook up Cajun food for the campground, and it was phenomenal to say the least.

Day 1 had some good results we ended up with
6th chicken
5th ribs
1st pork
15th brisket
For a 4th overall finish

Day 2 was slightly better to us
8th chicken
7th ribs
3rd pork
11th brisket
For a 3rd overall finish

Congratulations to first class bbq for their RGC & GC and Bullhorn bbq for RGC congratulations to everyone else who heard their songs play.
