I am a couple days late but it was a nice weekend at the Stars and Stripes Livestock Show! The girls filled really well and all of the babies were very well behaved! Dreahook GF Jingle Shell went Senior Best In Show against some really nice does. Her granddaughter, Raspberry Field Farm Dahlia, owned by Nativity Acres, went Junior Best In Show. Jingles daughter Raspberry Field Farm Jade (pending) went Junior Reserve Best In Show. Thank you to the judge and everyone running the show! And thank you everyone that stepped in to help handle goats.

Im definitely behind on posting!
On Saturday we attended the GSDGA memorial day show! While the weather wasn't great, it was nice to see everyone! As always, thank you to the judge and everyone that made this show possible! We only brought 4 does, 3 are homebred. No big placings but I was very happy that most of the girls placed middle of the class against some amazing goats! I was not one bit disappointed with how they did, especially with how cold and rainy it was!

Im a bit behind on updates, and I still dont have great pics! But we had 6 kids born since last week! Raspberry Field Farm Amaze Me kidded with 2B 1D, sired by LuHy Farm A Taste Of Honey (pending). All kids will be available. Dreahook GF Jingle Shell kidded with a big single doeling sired by Sugar Mountain Hakuna Matata. She is retained! And Jace's Ridge Appalachia kidded with 1B 1D sired by Sugar Mountain Hakuna Matata. Girl is retained and boy will be available. Just 2 more left this year!

Brownie kidded yesturday morning with buck/doe twins unassisted! The buckskin girl is definitely a keeper! Dreahook RR Steelhead GEE86 X Sunny Shore's Brown Eyed Girl. 3 more due this week and some big things happening!

Kidding season started a little earlier than expected! Daisy kidded with 3 healthy boys late last night at day 137! All 3 are strong and fiesty, and she is an excellent mom. 2 of these boys will be available as wethers, one may be offered as a buck, we will see how they unfold. Now we wait 2 weeks before the next one is due!

Daisy is 10 days away from her due date! She is already super uncomfortable, I will not be surprised if she goes a few days early. Daphne is excited to meet her siblings though 💜!

Only 25 days left until Daisy's due date! The pregnant girls have finally started to emerge from the barn after this freezing weather. Thinking 3 kids again this year, hoping for some more girls! She had triplets girls last year and they are all gorgeous. Might have to consider keeping a buck from this girl in the future.

Everyone is staying warm and dry! The calf hutches are staying super toasty. The pregnant moms are loving the heat lamp in the barn. And the babies have a nice insulated house. Lots of straw and hay for everyone! The dogs prefer to sit outside right now, but have been going in and out of the barn all day. We have about a foot of snow so far and freezing rain started about an hour ago. Dogs are loving this weather! Goats, not so much!
