Copper State Rubs Gourmet Rubs -- our secret ingredient can be yours! Hand-selected and locally procured ingredients. She is married to Grady.

Copper State Rubs started with a text message: "Hey, Joe, can you send me a recipe for a good bbq rub?" This initial recipe became the Sedona Signature rub. From there we decided to start a spice rub company inspired by the flavors of the Southwest.

All of our rubs are chef-created and restaurant quality. We hope you enjoy using them in your cooking as much as we do.

The Copper State Rubs

Joe is a professional chef. He was classically trained at the Scottsdale Culinary Institute and has spent the last decade at many of Phoenix's best restaurants. Joy is an operations wizard and has a wealth of experience in aerospace with a Fortune 100 company. She is married to Chef Joe.

Grady is a chiropractor by day and a foodie by night. Joe introduced him to proper cooking techniques and unique flavors. Since then, Grady has developed a love for BBQ and smoking meats on the weekend.

Liz has a background in a multitude of businesses, but enjoys the person-to person interaction aspect the most. She is always up for a taste-test of a new rub, sauce or recipe.
