Actor, entrepreneur, cook, and an athlete describe Spiro Frentzas, creator of the salsa line Frentzas. Along with doing triathlons and playing baseball in the Midwest Suburban league Spiro also likes to cook up concoctions for family and friends. i, Spiro also creates his own pizza sauce, hot sauce, cocktail sauce and of course, salsa. The salsa line developed by Spiro started as an accident when cooking for family and friends. He was making a chili for a family party for a Bears game in 2004. The meat was accidentally left in the freezer so he started to experiment with other things around his house to somehow produce a different result. Some exotic items were added to the mixture such as pineapple and passion fruit. The result was a phenomenal sweet and spicy salsa that was an instant hit with everyone at the party, even kids. From there he started to tweak and perfect the salsa and created the salsa recipes now available.
