10th Annual Heirloom Tomato Festival.

We have 3 speakers on different subjects scheduled. will announce soon ! Also several vendors will be here. Lots of different varieties of heirloom tomatoes to taste.

Our Heirloom Tomato tasting is this Sat the 26th from 9:30 am - 2:00 pm with Annette Evans Webb of Raw Sustainable Living speaking at Noon on the benefits of worm castings on your vegetables and other plants, Also your health !

Fried green tomatoes & drinks served. Tomatoes available for purchase. Hope to see you Saturday !!

Also lots of Ever Bearing Strawberry plants. 12 plants for $5.00
Wild Strawberry plants, 20 for $5.00 These produce smaller berries with a more intense flavor.

Variance Hearing for our gardens @ our (Hopefully) new location across the street is May 27 at 4 pm. At the Police/Courts building, 111 E Jefferson, Goshen In.
I would invite anybody that has or wants to have a garden to show up, As the City issued me a Stop Work order for attempting to install my raised beds across the street. As written, (The Stop Work Order) I would be breaking the law just to walk on my own private property, Let alone mow grass or anything else.
Please show up, For or against !!!!

Our gardens & the Festival will stay at the present location for this year, Thanks to the City.

The pole bean plant is @ 22+ feet today, The longest bean so far is 38". Tomatoes are sweet tasteing this year, At least, that what the customers are saying.
The next 4 Saturdays we will be featured on South Bend Channel 57 on their Fresh TV segment from 7:30 to 8 am.

Tomatoes are starting to ripen, Should have an abundant supply in the next few weeks. ( You may not need to cook them if this weather keeps up !! ) The plants are healthy & growing, The pole beans went past the 11 foot mark last night

Pole Beans @ 18' tonight, Only 7 more feet to the top!! Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Peppers are ready. A little slow ripening, but lots more on the way.

This is the week to rip out all the tomato plants & cages, Any voluteers ? 16'9" was the tallest tomato plant this year. 20' plus is the goal for next year. Still have some nice green & ripe tomatoes & peppers available, also carrots,beets,turnips,spinach & lettuce.
