Chalk this one up to things most people will never see. Went to move the chickens this morning and imagine my surprise to learn that here at Poplar Ridge we have owls that identify as chickens. Amazing birds, but not in that precise location! Have a “hoot” at this, and Make it a great day!

Farm store is open today and tomorrow. Come see us. We are picking more and more every week! NEW for this weekend: fresh picked broccoli (picked this morning) with huge heads AND FRESH NEW POTATOES! Also have extra large slicing tomatoes, perfect for that smash burger. Nearing the end of the season for strawberries and asparagus so get them while you can. Cucumbers, zucchini, onions, salad mix, head lettuce, arugula, spinach, kale, chard, collards and herbs round out the veggie selections. The cooler is slam full with greens, eggs and mushrooms, and in the “freezer section” we have all of our own beef cuts, lamb and a little pork left. Finally if you need a few plants to finish out your garden we have a selection of tomatoes, peppers and eggplants today. COME SEE US IN BEAUTIFUL BELLS VALLEY, halfway between Craigsville and Goshen.

Off to plant for the morning…it takes a dedicated team of professional farmers and a lot of tools, planning and coordination. The team is working hard around the rain (which we are super thankful for) to make sure everything gets planted on time so we can bring you a continuous supply of fresh veggies every week!
