Got to tag along for a navy bean planting in North Dakota today! 🫘 🚜 🌱

A huge thanks to Garrett for letting me join him in the tractor and pester him with approximately 100 questions. The rain picked up, so he had to stop planting after a while. I have so much respect for farmers and their ability to adapt to all the different conditions that are thrown their way. Shout-out to G&B Thompson Farms 👏

And another big thanks to Northarvest Bean Growers Association for inviting me along for such a wonderful adventure! 😊

Burning the midnight oil trying to get the last of the beets in the ground before the possible rain showers later today!

The boss was out playing in the mud yesterday, trying to get the water drained off of some CRP we broke out last year. It’s a temporary fix but will need the scraper after harvest in the fall for a more permanent job.

Prepping the home quarter for this years beet crop. David is harrow packing before the planter arrives. With any luck we should finish beets tomorrow.

Either an early start to 2024 or an extension of 2023! Mother Nature froze us out last week finally. Got a head start on a new binsite pad before we put everything to bed for a few months.
