We can never plan how most things are going to go. There are things that happen we have no control over. That is how our Winter went.
We lost our precious house cat Elsa. Then mid-February the sweetest horse we had got colic and after a tireless weekend we could not save her and the last weekend in Feb. while planning to have a whole 8 day staycation home by myself dividing tuber clumps my hubby landed in the ER overnight and not on the ice fishing trip as planned. That next morning I was injured by a horse. Literally smacked in the face by her face😵💫🥴it hurt like I can’t even explain. A split second nightmare. A few days later when swelling subsided some I realized something was just not right. I should have gotten checked while I was at the ER picking the hubs up but it was so busy and I could see😆Unfortunately the ct scan showed serious damage, a broken orbital bone down thru the cheek, lots of debri in the nasal, fractures, etc. I had a numb jaw and teeth so I knew something was definitely wrong and my cheek was depressed. It was priority to try and get surgery. I had to wait another whole week😬thankful someone cancelled their appt. due to bad weather. It has been a long recovery, a bone was pinching a nerve for quite some time so that has to heal and I’m still numb but hopefully on the mend.
I have met some of the most amazing thoughtful friends in these squares, flower friends have big hearts. The timing of it all had me stressed, it’s such a busy time for flower growers. Thank You for prayers and offers to help! I’ve just worked at it on my own recovery schedule. Some days I just wanted to sleep. I don’t wish anyone to get hit in the face, it’s quite painful. My daughter was kicked in the face by a horse nearly 5 years ago, we can’t win, we both have been injured in the face and realize we are so lucky. Still love horses though.
The question I’ve gotten from all my sweet peeps out there is am I having a tuber sale? That’s a YES! Tuesday evening, April 25th, 8 p.m. CST. It’s happening.
