A Note from the Owner
Over the past several months, our family has made the difficult and bittersweet decision to relocate. As a result, Buffalo Plaid Coffee Company will be pausing operations in the coming weeks while we navigate this transition.
What does this mean? You will likely notice a reduced presence of Buffalo Plaid Coffee at some of your favorite local cafés, a smaller footprint at events (i.e, Grand Rapids MN Farmers' Market), and limited retail availability. As we prepare for the move, equipment will be sold, stored, or relocated to a future site, which will impact our ability to continue normal operations in the near term.
While this pause is necessary, it does not necessarily mean the end of Buffalo Plaid Coffee. The future of the company remains unwritten, and we hope there may be another chapter ahead. For now, however, our focus needs to remain squarely on our family.
This decision has not come easily. Building Buffalo Plaid Coffee has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. It has allowed me to connect with incredible customers, retail partners, fellow business owners, and friends throughout our community. Stepping back, even temporarily, is unquestionably the bitter side of this bittersweet transition.
At the same time, we only get one opportunity to raise our children; being a present father is the most important aspect of my life. As much as I love coffee, roasting, and building this business, family must take precedence over every other passion.
To everyone who has purchased a bag of coffee, stopped by our booth, carried our products in your stores, shared a kind word, or supported us over the past three years: thank you. Your encouragement, loyalty, and friendship have meant more than you know.
This isn't goodbye. It's simply a pause. Please stay subscribed to our page and watch for updates. We usually have something up our sleeve and we'd love to remain in touch with all of the wonderful friends we've made.
With gratitude,
Matt Dass
