So it’s still a work in progress…but after 4 days I have cleared the majority of the weeds around my raspberry ands strawberry beds! I still need to move the yarrow to around the outside of the garden, and I need to at a lot more worships, but I am super proud of how far I’ve gotten! It is much easier to walk around and see the fruit to pick. My boys have greatly enjoyed gathering the sweet raspberries for the family! My fingers are sore from all the weeding, but my heart is full seeing my hard work in action, the beauty of nature, and the joy in my boys faces!

There were many reasons we chose to raise Idaho pasture pigs, from their size, to their fat content, to their desire to forage and graze, but most importantly we got them for their demeanor! We strive to have nice animals that our young children do not have to fear! IPPs are exactly that! The boys were out catching some morning rays and they decided to go visit the pigs and get some snuggles! I love to see them get involved in the farm and know they are safe

This is my first time growing shelling peas and my first harvest of them, and I have to say, I’m pretty excited! My boys were all too excited to help me shell the peas, and of course grab a sweet snack as they worked! I love seeing the joy on their faces and the smiles as they work and fill their bellies! They were so proud, which made my heart so full! Here’s to adding to our souls, as well as our freezer😉

We got a sweet garden treat yesterday! So glad to finally see some of the fruits of my labor!
