🇨🇷 Why do we call it “Casado”?
Casado is one of those Costa Rican dishes that comes with a little piece of our culture and history.
There are a few stories about where the name came from. One of the most popular is that workers would go to small Costa Rican restaurants and ask for a complete meal with rice, beans, meat, salad, sweet plantains, and other sides. Since everything came together on one plate, people started calling it “Casado” — like everything was “married” together. 😂🇨🇷
But to me, Casado means more than just a plate of food. It reminds me of home, family, and the kind of food we grew up eating in Costa Rica.
That’s why I wanted to bring our Casado to Tuanis — so you can taste a little piece of Costa Rica, one plate at a time. ❤️🇨🇷
Pura vida and buen provecho!
