Part of farming is the equipment. The equipment is old therefore you say a prayer before going out that everything works and doesn’t break. When they break it’s usually not a simple turn of a screwdriver fix.

Yesterday, was not one of those days…..Both balers broke in the field

The good is 187 square bales were put in the barn and 9 round bales are still out in the field.

We are appreciative of the boys that came out to help square bale as they did an amazing job loading, unloading, and stacking!! We are also appreciative of our neighbors that are so willing to help in a time of need to keep us going!! I am so appreciative of a mechanical husband that keeps fixing everything to keep the farming going.

To end the day, Ranger decided to go for a run to then be picked up and driven home

A fun couple of hours out with the pigs today……

🍴They had milk with their feed this morning

🥚 they devoured the eggs shells

😴 Took a nap

✅ Their sunshade is up to keep them from getting sunburn

So much fun to have them here!! It’s like 25 puppies all at one time. 🥰

One of our favorite days of the year:

🐷🐖 The pigs have arrived 🐖 🐷

They are going to be forest raised for their own good of natural foraging and all the rooting they could do. They will have lots of space to roam once trained on a wire fence. They will be sooo happy!!

They will be moved weekly to new areas in the woods for a constant new supply of natural foraging for them and they are fed a non GMO feed.

We have 3 processing dates between September and October for anyone interested in wholes or a half.
