✨ One Year of Cedar & Thread (Round Two of Reinventing Myself) ✨

Two weeks and one year ago, I got ready to open the doors to the new Cedar & Thread with a full plate already stacked higher than a farm‑girl breakfast. A corporate job at iHeart Media, a farm that never sleeps, a family that needs me, and a boutique that deserved to be rebuilt with both the heart of the old and the vision of the new.

People told me I was biting off more than I could chew.
Turns out… they were right.
But I also learned how to chew it.

This year has been about building the right team, creating processes that make the hard things easier, honoring what Cedar & Thread has always meant to people, and still protecting the parts of my life that matter most…my family, my farm, my career, and my peace.

I’m proud, I’m grateful, and I’m humbled every single day by the people who walk through these doors, support this dream, and trust me to keep growing it with intention.

Here’s to one year of doing the impossible, one system, one sunrise, one brave decision at a time.
And here’s to year two…where I keep learning, keep balancing, keep building, and keep proving that women can do hard things beautifully.

Farmland is disappearing, but farmers aren’t giving up.
In the last few years, the U.S. lost millions of acres of farmland…but the families who remain are growing stronger, more efficient, and more determined to protect what’s left.
If you know a farmer, thank them. They’re holding the line for all of us.

I recently did a little photoshoot for on my farm, and of course I wore…
new Rainscape boot. They just fit into my lifestyle so naturally. If I’m running out to do a quick feed of the animals, give the dog…and the cows a quick pet, or if I’m really getting out into the pasture to check on how far along the cows might be. Yep, we are heading into baby szn!! I also can’t believe how cute they are. They are so good with any jeans, because they tighten or loosen in the back. 🙌🙌😍😍
