Saturday will be a bitter sweet day for me. It will be the last day for me to sell my items atThe Barn & Basket Market. And it will be the first day since March that I can give my family my undivided attention.
This week, I added a new item. Even though this item is simple to make, it threw off my timeline and I couldn’t quite figure out the schedule. So I sat down and wrote out my baking schedule.
Seven days. All seven days had minutes to hours spent working on my bakery. Two of those days were roughly twelve hour days. What I thought would be just 2-3 days of work each week turned into everyday. I couldn’t believe it. And then I could acknowledg that I don’t find joy in baking anymore.
Baking is a love language of mine and this experience has taught me the intentionality behind my baking. I’m so thankful that I was given this opportunity to serve the community. And y’all have shown me so much appreciation through the support you continue to show! I’ve realized my joy comes from baking small, intentional batches.
But that’s ok! I know the talented bakers at the market will deliver wonderful items in my place🤍
I will continue to deliver small drops to The Old Place and I am always open for personal orders!
If you’d like to order from me, feel free to send me a private message anytime!
Thank you all so much! I can’t tell you how much your support has meant to me.
