Up until now I’ve been mostly doing some guided watercolor stuff. Though fun, I want to do original stuff. And I have been tinkering with the media trying to find the paints and textures and tools I like best. Right now I am starting on a little painting serious of the view out the window at work every day I am there. It’s not guided. Just going with my gut on this one. And hope I build up skills. I like ink and wash type watercolor stuff. I’ve always been “drawn” to that. And this particular landscape is simple enough for these small postcard sized paintings and surprisingly changes everyday.

I’m able to use my broken thumb a bit more. The comfrey poultice I have been applying along with the arthritis cream when I can’t be at home covered in mashed green leaf goop, has definitely sped up healing. I was able to get into the garden for an hour this morning and actually do a little something before my body started saying “¡no mas!” I did one row of tomato wrangling and half a raised bed.

The ducks and chickens got lots of icky slug eaten cabbages, pink celery, and mints to snack on.

I got the satisfaction that at least one row of tomatoes is halfway standing up. And the smell and itch of tomato sap I get to have fun with all day at work 😬😃. I try to wash as much off but it’s a stubborn substance….
