Pea Shoots!

We mainly cut/ package all our peas shoots, what I have found over the years is pea shoots like to take off when delivered in live flats once the are off the grow systems and not under grow lights anymore. They tend to get overly tall before the customer has had time to use the entire flat.

1/2 Red Rambo Radish
1/2 Sunflower Shoots
All in one flat!

I have a customer that orders 1 1010 of radish and 1 1010 of sunflower shoots a week, but being they are busy everyday of the week I wanted to make sure they had fresh greens throughout the whole week! So now we do a half sunflower, half radish at the start of the week and at the end of the week along with the rest of there order. You can do this with some varieties that have equal grow times, even in this case I’m planting the radish about a day to two days after the sunflowers are planted.

Micro Basil

One of the staples in the grow facility, honestly for the past 8 years I don’t think there’s a week I didn’t have basil growing!

What I’ve found lately is basil seems to like the low pro flats more then the deep flats like I grew in for so many years. What I am seeing is just a more consistent grow week to week and my customers who take the flats live are appreciating how much easier it is to harvest!

Amaranth

By far one of the most colorful varieties we grow but also one of the most temperamental!
