Dusk falls as the last vestiges of the golden rays of the sun flash brightly one last time before quickly dipping below the horizon, ready for slumber after a full day’s work. The forest appears to grow silent as the inhabitants bed down for the night. The night orchestra readies for its nightly performance. A chirp here - the cricket strums a note on its wings, a hum there by the cicada, the clearing of the throat of a frog. One by one, the night denizens stir, and the sounds of the nightly chorus swell in the air as the show starts. There is a glow of a tiny bulb off in the distance, another one answers. Then another flash, and another, as more arrive for the performance of their lifetimes. The fireflies’ tiny lanterns flicker and dance merrily into the night, enticing a partner to join them for a tango. It is a mesmerizing sight, a dazzling, twinkling light display for anyone still awake…
